MLB Playoffs 2008

I got off the plane and heard the Phillies were winning 5-0! I heard they went on to win 6-1 and knock the Brewers out! The Phillies are going to NLCS!!!! Great God, it's been 15 years. I remember watching them play the Braves in 1993. Over my vacation I called my dad almost every morning to get Phillies updates. I have still have not seen Sabathia pitch but I heard about that Game 2 where Phils pitcher Brett Myers got walked and Shane Victorino hit a grand slam. Wow!

I was so happy to hear the Red Sox knock off the Angels. Thank God. The Angels swept the Phils in Interleague Play this year. The Cubs got knocked out 1-2-3 in the first round!?!?!!?!?! They sounded like the Phils of last year. They should have not have celebrated like they won the World Series when they got their Division.

So it's Philadelphia and LA Dodgers starting this Thursday, Red Sox-Tampa Bay I suppose as well.

(Obviously there are no Red Sox/Tampa Bay fans at this forum. Another solo show will commence here most likely.)

I would have loved to see an all-Los Angeles World Series (Hollywood Series). Angels vs Dodgers, but now the Angels are out. Hypothetically speaking, which of those two would have been favored had they met?

That's a tough one. I liked the Angel's vibe over the years but they're most distant to me as an AL team.

Thursday and Friday are home in Philadelphia. Cole Hamels - Derek Lowe - Game One. 8pm EST FOX.

With the Indians not in the playoffs, there's not very much for me to discuss. However, I do NOT want to see the Red Sox in the World Series again.

As far as the National League, Dodgers. To see Joe Torre, Manny and Casey Blake gelling as teammates (and manager) instead of foes. And perhaps Casey will return to be the Tribe's 3B next year.

I would like to see the Rays win their first Championship. If the Red Sox win the series then their my pick to win it all again.

I hope the rays really make the b soxs look really bad. I am hoping for the rays and phillys for the world series then the rays winning it all.

I'm full of excitement for the start of the NLCS tonight. There's a jump in my step. The cool air is not here yet but every game now every inning, minute is memorbable, possibly history making so I'll be glued until I go on my Florida trip this weekend. I hope to get to a tv game time. It's the first time I've seen the Phils in 3 weeks.

Game One Ours! WAHOO!!! 3-2 win Philadelphia.

Ah good, FOX chose the right league to televise. That was a good game. Overall, FOX does a good job in whatever sports they televise. College football's BCS games, NFL, MLB. The only exception is college basketball on CBS.

I felt so screwed over by TBS coverage last year. It's fitting they switched.

This is it! We're soooo close. The Phillies play tonight at home versus the Dodgers at 8:22 on FOX. The Phils lead 3-1 in the NLCS. Get it down, Win it and we're in!!! It's so close I can smell it. Memories and feelings of 15 years ago - 1993.

While I was in Florida I saw the Phils lose on Sunday night. The funny timing was when I was leaving for the bar with my brother I locked my brother out of his room, the same time the Phils gave up 5 runs in the first inning. We got the door open but by the time we got to the bar the damage was done. There was almost a fight in that game. Though Manny had really nothing to do with it they had to hold him back. That was an ugly game and they lost 7-2.

The Monday night game I watched the Phils on tv while they were losing at a Hooters. I had to get back to my brothers to get to sleep for a 5 am drive to Jacksonville for my flight back to Philly. On the highway I miraculously was able to get AM radio Phils coverage under some Latin Music. I heard them come back and then go ahead. Phils won that game 7-5.

I got a lot of people cheering the Phils on at WDW. Many people were noticing my Phils shirt. I talked to some Sox fans, telling them cautiously that we might see each other. By now the Rays are ahead 3-1 in the series. I was listening to Game 1 on the radio when I first arrived in Orlando on Saturday.

I'm so looking forward to tonight for the Phillies. Hopefully they win the NL pennant.

It will most likely be the Phillies and Rays in the WS. I honesty don't know who i'd go for. Maybe Tampa cause they have never been and had an amazing worst to first turnaround in 1 year but then again i would not mind if Philly won.

I guess i'll be happy if either team wins but i'm leaning more towards the Tampa side of the fence.

Its over... and the Phillies are on there way to the World Series... Lets hope now that Tampa can finish the job as well.

I'm not sure what AL team I want to see play the Phillies in the World Series so I wanted the Red Sox to win tonight. It looked really ugly with Boston down 7-0 and they came back to win 8-7! It was the second largest comeback in the MLB Playoffs history. Sweetness.

I was really shocked. I fell asleep in the 7th with the sox down 5-0 only to wake up about an hour ago, turn on ESPN and see the series at 3-2 and i was like WHAT!!!

Great comeback for the sox and just when i counted them out they mount a major comeback and now maybe they can win the next 2 games.
