You can list all your teams Pro-Bowl selections here.

Carolina Panthers

Offensive tackle Jordan Gross, defensive end Julius Peppers, linebacker Jon Beason and wide receiver Steve Smith are headed to the Pro Bowl as the Panthers' four representatives in the annual all-star game. For Gross and Beason, the appearance is the first for each, while Smith and Peppers will go for a fourth time.

I'll say Cooley and Horton for the Skins. No Portis though.

Chris Johnson - Only rookie on offense or defense to make the Pro Bowl, although Clady and Slaton may have been deserving. He's had a great season and is definitely deserving of the spot.

Kevin Mawae - He's really stepped it up this season and has helped turn our run game into one of the best in the league. His pass blocking is solid (0 sacks allowed) and he's a great leader. Another guy deserving of the spot at center.

Michael Roos - Thank you. He is the only starting tackle in the NFL not to give up a sack this season and has opened up running lanes for Chris Johnson and Lendale White. I'm really happy that he finally got recognized, but how is he a reserve behind Joe Thomas and Jason Peters? The Browns run blocking is atrocious this year and Thomas has given up 2.5 more sacks than Roos, not to mention a sack that cost the Browns the Colts game. And Jason Peters? He shouldn't even be considered for the Pro Bowl. His run blocking has been poor this year and he's leading the NFL in sacks allowed (11.5). That's just a joke.

Cortland Finnegan - My favorite Titan and I'm glad he's getting a trip to Hawaii in his breakout season. He's turned into a shutdown corner this year, although he was pretty good last year too. Talk about a long road for him. First, he gets denied by nearly all Division I schools, where his high school coach repeatedly said, "If you don't take this one, you're going to wish you had." His choices came down to Samford and Kent State (hey Andrew...) and he went with Samford. In his first year, he went from being a 7th round pick to our playmaker at nickelback. And in his second year, he finally got the chance to take over at corner thanks to Pacman, and he showed why he's now one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL today.

Albert Haynesworth - The most dominating defensive player in the NFL, no doubt. He gets doubled and sometimes triple teamed, and STILL has 8.5 sacks, is great at stuffing the run, and has a whole load of quarterback pressures. Since 2004, we are 3-13 without him clogging up the middle. He truly is a huge difference maker.

Chris Hope - He's good in pass coverage and has four interceptions, but I don't think he's deserving of making the Pro Bowl this year.

My snubs from the Titans would be Ahmard Hall, Jake Scott, and maybe Michael Griffin. Keith Bulluck is great too, one of the best at tackling in the league and a great leader. There's just too much competition at the linebacker position though, especially since people take sacks into consideration way too much, which is why nearly every player selected at his position plays in a 3-4 scheme which has the outside linebacker blitzing.

It's flicked on for about a minute and then back to whatever else, like hockey, that is there.

Hmm... 6 Vikings, a pretty good showing.

The one person on the Vikings that definently got snubbed was Chad Greenway. I believe someone showed the stats between him and the final person that made it for the OLB position and Greenway had 40 + more tackles, 2.5 more sacks, and the same amount of fumbles forced. Although the other player had 1 INT and 2 more pass defensed.

Actually I love watching the Pro Bowl....even slightly over the big game a week before it. It's basically an All-Star game for the NFL.

My Houston team has two starters for the AFC: Defensive End Mario Williams and Wide Receiver (and league leader in yards this season) Andre Johnson

Forgot to list the Vikings showings - Notice that three of them are from the Vikings defensive line. The best defensive line in football IMO.

Antoine Winfield - Best tackling corner in the league. Has 80 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 10 passes defensed, 2 interceptions, 2 touchdowns.

Jared Allen - 48 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 safeties, 3 passes defensed.

Kevin Williams - 54 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 4 passes defensed, helps anchor the number one defense against the run.

Pat Williams - 44 tackles, 1 sack, 3 passes defensed, fumble recovery(at least I thought.) Amazing run stuffer and needs to be doubled every play.

Adrian Peteson - Leads the league in rushing with 1,581 yards, 4.9 average, 9 touchdowns, 109 receiving yards.

Steve Hutchinson - Best guard in football. Every year he has played with a rusher gaining more then 1000 yards in the backfield!

When they face the steelers and beat them at their own defense, then you might be able to call them the best. But, for now, the NFL calls them number 1!

^He's saying defensive line, not overall defense. And the Titans game in Week 4 has something to say about that.. Albert Haynesworth 2 sacks, Tony Brown 1.5 sacks, Kyle Vanden Bosch 0.5 sacks, and Jevon Kearse had one too, but they didn't count it.. and then of course a big whopping 0 for everyone on the Vikings defensive line.

SFGA - If Collins wasn't bombing the ball right away(Allen would've had a sack but he chucked it up towards Griffins general direction). You guys also have the best left tackle in football(Roos) and he had a pretty good day against Jared Allen. At that time we really werent playing Robison in the middle during passing downs either, and he's our second best pash rusher. Things have changed since then though!

Katie - Vikes played the Steelers in preseason and their defensive line dominated. At half time we were winning 10-3 and we had like five sacks already recorded!

Either way, maybe the Vikings will see one of your teams in the superbowl! :P

Putting Jared Allen on lockdown isn't too uncommon for Michael Roos. He also did it last year when Allen was with the Chiefs.

And I would think the "best defensive line in football" would be able to exploit our left guard, Eugene Amano. Titans fans call him the "turnstile" as when teams blitz, once the defensive lineman touches Amano, he just falls down and it creates a lane to the quarterback/running back. That's why the Bears were so successful stopping the run against us. They blitzed 3 guys right at Amano and got Johnson or White in the backfield. Kevin Williams had to have a few matchups against Amano, but he couldn't get anything?

And the Vikings offensive line is proclaimed as one of the best in football by many. How come every single one of our defensive linemen contributed a sack (except the official stats for some reason didn't give Kearse his sack) and Tony Brown contributed a bloody hand to Gus Frerotte? When healthy, which was only in the first 4 weeks, I can confidently say we had the best defensive line in football. Teams better watch out in January with Vanden Bosch finally getting surgery done on his groin, Haynesworth back from his injury, and Vickerson back from suspension.

I hate the Steelers. I mean REALLY, REALLY REALLY hate the Steelers. Love Polamalu, though- nice to see him make it again.

Oh, the Colts send Peyton, Reggie Wayne, Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. I was a bit surprised when I saw Peyton made it. this hasn't been a particularly good year for him. But, when I think about it, no AFC QB has had a particularly great year.

The problem is that the Vikings offensive line is not as good as it's cracked up to be. Not even close. Not to mention, we've got old man Gus Frerotte back there and he has a hard time moving! Gus has been sacked by every team he played against, and makes other teams opposing defensive lines look amazing. We've got one great player on the line(Hutchinson) and we've got some pretty good ones in Birk, Herrara. Our tackles were terrible at that time, with Mt. McKinney still out due to suspension, I believe.

Roos is great and Jared Allen is a huge part of our dominate defensive line. In the two games that he was shutdown(week 1 and against you guys) our defensive line was not nearly as productive getting to the quarterback. At that point in the season we had Ray Edwards playing a lot more snaps against the other tackle and he is not nearly as productive getting to the quarterback as his backup Brian Robison.

The Titans line was definently better during that particular day but if we look at the stats as a whole, I think the Vikings are definently more dominate in the trenches!
Here are some interesting facts about our defensive line with some lesser used stats.
2008:
ALY allowed: 3.42, 2nd
Adj Sack Rate: 9.1%, 2nd
Pass Def: -22.8%, 5th
Rush Def: -17.6%, 4th
Overall Def: -20.7%, 3rd

Now, actual stats.
Against the run:
MN - 1 with 71.2 yards allowed per game
Tennessee is 9th with 93.4.

Team sacks - I tried to count just defensive lineman but didn't feel like looking through every Titans player.
Vikings - 41.
Titans - 38.

I still need to go with the Vikings. It's tough to say with linebackers, corners and safeties thrown in. I think the Vikings have some advantages in areas and the Titans have some advantages in areas.

I find it hard to take any stats involving our defensive line with any credibility this season when our Pro Bowl defensive end has been out or hasn't been able to make it past the first drive for more than half the games. The first 4 weeks, people were asking if the Titans defense was going to be among the best of all time. Vanden Bosch goes out and all that talk happens to go away.
