| Former Colts stadium comes down
This building was the absolute worst place ever to see a concert. Actually, it was fine for SEEING a concert, it just sucked for HEARING a concert. I saw Genesis there, and I'm not kidding when I say that I had to read Phil Collins' lips on the jumbotron to be able to know what he was singing. Anyway, the first video is from September, when they deflated the dome And the last video is from this morning, when they imploded the rest. They were able to just bring down the dome, without damaging the rest of the convention center. The Old Catholic Church and Lucas Oil Stadium seem to be fine, too. WISHTV.com | Home You may have to go through the list to find the video of the implosion. It's on top as I post this, though.

RCA doesn't exist in Indy and moved south from what I take so I don't blame you for calling it Colts stadium. That's a little guy. The Vet in Philly was just a little bigger.

This isn't the RCA Dome video... just a bunch of drunk people.

Leo, I never referred to it as the RCA Dome, even when RCA was still here. I always called it the Hoosier Dome, which was the name when it opened. And yes, Steve- drunken rednecks and fireworks are as much an Indiana tradition as basketball and 500 mile races. And corn.

That RCA Dome was a piece. I never understood why they hosted the NCAA Final Four there last season. They picked Ford Field this year...not much better...

^ Because they can sell a lot more seats than at an arena. They told Charlotte we would never host the Final Four again, unless we built a mega arena. The Charlotte Coliseum (which was imploded) (see video) seated something like 23,000. Our new one only seats 17,000. Brilliant! They did it in the Georgia Dome a year or maybe two. The place seats 100k, can you imagine trying to see from the nosebleed? It was bad enough trying to watch the Panthers/Cowboys game two years ago from the nosebleed. I could hardly tell where the ball was.

| Indy hosts the Final Four every 4 years, because the NCAA is headquartered in Indy.
