NFL Playoff Predictions

Alright, lets see who can get the closest to picking the right route to the Super Bowl, here are the seeds:

NFC:
1. Giants
2. Panthers
3. Vikings
4. Cardinals
5. Falcons
6. Eagles

AFC:
1. Titans
2. Pittsburgh
3. Dolphins
4. Chargers
5. Colts
6. Baltimore

If I messed up the seed order let me know and I will edit it. This is off the top of my head.

I think the Playoffs will go like this:

NFC:
Atlanta Win vs. Arizona
Philadelphia Win* vs. Minnesota *Pending Game Performance

-Then-

Atlanta Win vs. Carolina (Matt Ryan poops on Jake Delhomme all day everyday)
Giants Win vs. Philly (Sorry Leo)

-Then-

Atlanta Win vs. Giants (But it will be a OT game)

AFC:
Chargers Win vs. Colts
Baltimore Win vs. Miami

-Then-

Tennessee Win vs. Chargers
Pittsburgh Win* vs. Baltimore (But it will be a OT game) *Pending Big Ben and/or his Motorcycle.

-Then-

Pittsburgh Win vs. Tennessee

Super Bowl 43:
Pittsburgh vs. Atlanta: Atlanta Win.

I'm probably wrong though.

Arizona beats Atlanta or Atlanta beats Arizona
Carolina beats Arizona or Atlanta.
Phily beats Giants.
Carolina beats Phily.

Carolina & Tennessee in the Superbowl
Carolina wins 27-24 in OT or on a last second FG.

In Philly I think both in baseball with the Phillies and in football they've taken the approach of "One Game at a Time" for as ugly as it gets in the season for both teams. With a very brief range of projection I think Philly has a shot against Minnesota. I like having a balanced offensed but Andy Reid loves being Pass First. It's out there that Minnesota has a poor pass defense so I'm sure there will be plenty of passing. I hope our hot rod component of the team drives forward and not the dud of the offense shows up. It's the Defense of the EAGLES that has been mighty and keeping them in all these games.

I will only project if we get by Minnesota and play the Giants we will have a shot against the Giants like before. Brandon Jacobs is a back that commands respect. He's good and makes that Earth, Wind, and Fire work on all cylinders. We took him out though, hurting him in the last EAGLES-Giants game. I understand Kyle's apology for that Giants EAGLES call as I'd see the Giants as the favorite too.

I'd like to see Baltimore beat Miami.

I hope the Eagles forget the balanced attack because our pass rush is great if they pin their ears back and don't need to worry about the run. I'm thinking it'll be a very defensive game and could probably go either way. I know most fans of the NFL arent expecting the Vikings to do a lot because of the poor play against the Giants last week but we are still 3-1 vs NFC playoff teams. The only loss came due to 7 fumbles in a game that we dominated.

I'm worried about this game though, the Eagles blitz a lot. We have a relatively hard time picking up the blitzes, which could be a problem for the Vikes. I honestly wish the Vikings were playing any other team except the Eagles!

Archie Manning, for the third straight year, watches a son win the Super Bowl. This time, he also watches a son lose it.

I'd rather see Mr. knee surgery first to get the Super Bowl win Manning brother win over his squeaky voice brother if I was forced that hand.

Go Panthers!

I'm concerned that my boys are going to have trouble in the playoffs, but they always seem to do well regardless.

I'm not going to make predictions. I'm not superstitious, but I'd rather just keep my mouth shut.

You guys know who I'm pulling for though.

3 for 4 this weekend with my Chargers, Baltimore, and Philly picks. So I get a C for the weekend, 75%.

Falcons were disappointing. I didn't feel like the Cardinals played that good, but the Falcons were surely lacking. Matt Ryan did a decent job if you ask me, he threw a pick during the opening drive but he got over it.

I knew the Chargers/Colts game was going to be close, but not THIS close...Darren Sproles and Scifres were the differences in the game.

Didn't catch the Ravens/Miami game, but I could've told you Ed Reed would pick Pennington and return it for a TD.

Philly and Vikings, close one, but Donovan McNabb is playing real good and Westbrook is running like a champ. Next week should be interesting.

How did everyone else do this weekend with their picks?

I was worrying with the home teams winning on Saturday but the Ravens lead the way with the Away teams winning Sunday. Philly then followed through on a close close game til the 4th.

Ed Reed - I know his name now. I learned it during the Baltimore-EAGLES game earlier this year.

Changing your prediction mid-way through the playoffs? No love for the Giants?

I had a dream that the Eagles beat the Giants today last night/this morning. I am going with that.

And on Thursday, I had a dream that the Cardinals would win the Super Bowl and the Titans would lose to the Ravens, but win the Super Bowl next year. I didn't want to listen to that, but now I'm hoping it was right.

Oh really?! I think Pittsburgh needs to punch through and take care of the Ravens. Those Ravens are dangerous.

Lowest point of the EAGLES season (loss to Baltimore after the embarrassing tie) will drive me to say that.
