NFL Playoffs Divisional Round 2009

San Diego - Pittsburgh

Baltimore - Tennessee

Arizona - Carolina

Philadelphia - NY(N NJ grrr) Giants.

Very quietly I'm looking at the AFC and picking who I do and do not want to see. I like Baltimore alot. It's very hard to pick between those two. I won't comment about the other teams, not decided there except for my team vs. Giants. What Giants team will arrive? The EAGLES Defense has been very solid. Hopefully it's a repeat of the December matchup where Brandon Jacobs got messed up by us and the Birds had a very strong game.

I predict an all-Pennsylvania Super Bowl. There would have been one in 2004 if not for the Patriots.

OK, as counterpoint to my good friend Mr Bhakta, I predict a NO Pennsylvania Super Bowl. Titans 27, Giants 21

Apparently everyone thinks we're the most likely home team to lose this weekend. We'e going to try to handle that like we handled being predicted to finish 4th in the AFC South by many, people predicting us to lose every game until it happened (and then they say "I told you so!"), and people predicting Pittsburgh to come into our house and kill us in the battle for homefield.

I guess I would be cool if Tennessee made it back. I wanted them to beat the Rams long ago.

I just like to see an in-state Super Bowl, we haven't had one of those since Super Bowl XXIX (San Deigo vs San Francisco).

It wouldn't get any better than if Dallas and Houston met in the brand new Arlington stadium for Super Bowl XLV, which isn't outside the realm of possibilities as it's looking.

The media would go way overboard with "The Battle for Smash and Dash" thing if that were the Super Bowl matchup.

Cause you're team is in self destruct mode.

A lot of your players are being cocky and talking trash, especially Chris Johnson with the whole "I shoulda got rookie of the year" thing.

Don't think trash talking/cockiness plays a big role in Football? One word: Cowboys.

I'll take Chris Johnson's word and call that attempt to try to even pass that off as "self destruct mode" as bogus. If anything, not getting the Rookie of the Year award will motivate Chris Johnson to do even better.

I'm not making any predictions, I'm just hoping that Philadelphia will be packing their bags for Charlotte after this weekend.

It's the closest that Charlotte will ever get to the Super Bowl here, one game away from it ain't bad.

I must give major props though to all the teams that are still left. I can't honestly pick one and so "Oh they suck, they shouldn't still be in it".

It's crazy that teams this year went 9-7 in the NFC and still didn't make the playoffs.

^Yay! A reason to cheer for the Browns again...and a head coach WITH EXPERIENCE! Super Bowl next year for the Browns!

Wait a second, who am I kidding, they'll choke.

Maybe the Browns could pick up Pac-Man...not as if they don't have enough cancers in the locker room (Edwards, Winslow).

Stallworth was bugged by injury wasn't he? That's not new.

The Real NFC East Rivalry will be at it this weekend. The Giants and EAGLES have split the NFC East the most in recent years. The Cowboys barely put a dent.

I have to turn it on. Baltimore and Tennessee are on. So after all the excitement of Wildcard Weekend I realize the EAGLES offense needs to wake up. It was disasterous like during the Cincinnati game though. The team rode on Special Teams the first half and really woke up with 3rd Down conversions in the 2nd half. A Defensive touchdown got the EAGLES the win over the Vikings.

It's bad enough that I had to separate my posts! I really hope my team can push forth and stay out of being in the dump too. Hardly any of our teams left. Pretty soon it may be just Katie, banned Dan, epijlh, rckrazy06 and myself, I hope.

Oh crap, that's a heartbreaker. I watched the 2nd quarter and then came back from dinner. I found myself disappointed Tennessee lost. 13-10

Carolina! What's up? It's halftime and it's supposed to be better than this. That's the team that I have concerns about.

Later in the game: this place is emptying out. It's terrible. Over 5 turnovers Carolina. The NFC South has been nuked. I see just how blue the seats are at BoA Stadium.

At the End: 33-13 Final. Arizona Cardinals are going to their 1st NFC Championship Game. Wow. They shown they now have a running game. The outcome of EAGLES-Giants determines if they go on the road or host the game.

Wow talk about a day of upsets. Titans lose. (Moment of silence). And unless you believe in miracles, I don't see Carolina coming away with a win. Who would've thought the Cardinals would be going to the NFC Championship?

What a pair of colossal upsets! It's always sweet to see the home crowds go home disappointed!

Arizona is for real -- they have zero fear of their opponents and come to play, give them all the credit in the world. They deserve this moment!

Unlike the Baltimore game, this wasn't a nail-biter in the last minute, this was a total obliteration.

Lets back up a few weeks.

1. I said Jake Delhomme sucks. 6 Turn Overs...
2. I said the Titans would lose cause they're self destructing...

Guess who's right?

Let's have that carry over to North Jersey in the swampland that's supposedly NY Metro on Sunday.

I'd really want to get a chance to check out Arizona's cool stadium on tv. I saw it on Modern Marvels or that Colossal Construction show on TLC

Happy Birthday Jake.

I blew off watching Florida the last few years. The last Fiesta Bowl I recall paying much attention to was at old Sun Devil Stadium.

Actually I have seen quite a bit of the place on the tube, knowing the field rolls out and lack of name cohesion continues on with the stadium that also exists with the team name.
