February NHL

I'll keep it short and simple: Bruins are on a tear, Sharks are in a funk, Sean Avery might come back to the Rangers, and Khabibulin likes to check refs.

DISCUSS.

The Bruins and Flyers just split. This home-home series was set off as far as could be til now. Flyers just won by shootout 4-3 Saturday.

The caps have a habit of beating awesome teams and playing poorly against the mediocre ones, especially from the west. oy.

But they are winning and on their way to another SE division championship and playoff run.

Avery is coming back? He shouldn't even be allowed to play anymore for all the crap he has done.

Watching the Flyers own the Thrashers once again. Sadly I think it's their last meeting of the season. Flyers won 3-2 beating the Thrashers for 14 straight games now. We're doing ok while Briere is injuried.

Yeah I have no clue why the Rangers even want him back...

Alex Ovechkin is the real deal...Sidney Crosby sucks.

NHL Network Online: Ovechkin scores a beauty!

The way he played that puck off the boards and did that spin move was just too sick. It has been an absolutely great time watching that guy play these past 3.5 seasons.

Ovechkin is truly something else. He has a lot of skill and talent.

As usual, with a little over 25 games left, teams can't get into a slump. For a decent amount of teams, it is going to be 1 point between getting that 8th spot or not. The next month is going to be crucial.

Well I'm going to see the Isles vs. Devils tonight. First hockey game since their win(!) over the Penguins last week. I hate how the team I support sucks.

Well you definately picked a good game to go see. We just need your team to keep winning so the Thrashers get Tavares . Honestly, the Thrashers have been doing a lot better lately. Got 5 out of 8 points in the west coast trip. They were even today against the sharks until the third period, and the Thrashers also got BS penalties, while the sharks didn't get called for a lot of stuff.

I watched the game, and I was pleasantly surprised how even the game was. I'm curious to see what calls on the Sharks you thought should've been called? Goal Tender interference? No, Marleau avoided Lehtonen, PLUS Lehtonen was out of the crease.

I thought the game was evenly called.

I guess that one could be considered right after watching again, but the penalties that Boris got shouldn't have been called.

Its interference because: A. Michalek did NOT touch the puck, Boris obstructed his path to it. B. He was too physical along the boards.

It could've gone either way, I didn't think it was an interference, but you could certainly call it. When you play hockey, you know the slight distinctions that make calls. If Boris didn't make it so blatant, would've been fine...

Well regardless of anything, I am glad to see how they have been playing lately, and how they have not been giving up and still fight even though they are well out of the playoff spot. Hopefully they will make a few smart trades, get a good draft pick, sign Kovalchuk this summer, and improve next season.

1) The Penguins are a bunch whiny pansies.
2) Crosby is a terrible little whiny captain.
3) The penguins redefine ineptitude on the power play (1 for 9)
4) SCREW YOU PITTSBURGH!!! HAHAHA

Holy Crap, Danis was a beast last night. Islanders shutout the Devils 4-0. It was great.

It's downright comical to think that the Penguins made the Stanley Cup finals last year...

Wait...

I went to the Devils game yesterday. It was a really good game, and even though the Av's didn't provide as much pressure, it was a nice game for Bordeur to get back into the swing of things.

I also won a Panasonic Toughbook at the game. It made my night

That's sweet about the Panasonic Toughbook. An older man sitting right next to me at a Sharks game won a Sansa MP3 player...he had no idea what it was and needed my help identifying what it is/does. He even offered it to me, but seeing as I already have a iPod, I told him to give it to his grandkids.

Kind of nice to see a prize go to someone who will use it.
