Pro Bowl 2009

I didn't expect to talk about Pro Bowl but they mentioned the fact the game will be played next year in Miami a week before the Super Bowl to try and raise the profile of the game. That should be interesting with who gets benched before a Super Bowl for those teams involved.

In this Pro Bowl Larry Fitzgerald had 2 TD. The NFC beat the AFC 30-21. The Manning Bros were the first quarterback brother duo in that game.

I was wondering when someone would start a thread on the season finale game. I am probably one of the few that looks forward to watching the Pro Bowl.

But if you're going to have the Pro Bowl, do it the way every other sports leagues have their all-star break and have it midway through the season and in different cities every year.

I love the idea of playing the Pro Bowl somewhere else and they should play in a different city every year but holding the game the week before the Super Bowl is a joke. The players who get elected to go will not play in the game if they are playing in the Super Bowl. It's almost pointless for them.

I say move the game around every year and keep it the week after the Super Bowl.

But i don't really care. The last Pro Bowl i watched was in the late 90's.

I read somewhere that players from the teams in the Superbowl will not play in the Probowl, as a rule.

I think they should keep it in Hawaii. It's for the players, and going to anywhere else isn't really a vacation for players, nor is it a vacation if they're going in-season.

The reason they are no longer doing it in Hawaii is because of money...the game is never a sellout and it does add up to huge travel costs. I like the idea of it played the week before the Superbowl as now people who go early to the host city, they will still have football in the life. On a similar thought, I wish every team had the same bye week ( week 9 ) and that would be a week each city could have it owns NFL experience for the local fans.

I've been so busy that I completly forgot about the Pro Bowl! I'm so mad at myself. Anyway....this is a very interesting idea to say the least. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. I'll have to wait until I read up on it more.
