NFL Free Agency 2009

It looks like the NFL Free Agency period is not far away. On Monday I read the Colts are parting ways with Marvin Harrison according to his agent. His contract would be too much for the team. He's 36.

Today I mourn that the EAGLES didn't resign Brian Dawkins. The 7 time Pro Bowler Safety, age 36, signed with the Denver Broncos.

Was it right for the Cardinals to bring Kurt Warner back? They gave him a 2 year deal.

My first year with season tickets to the Eagles and my favorite player is no longer an Eagle.

Then again, Brian Dawkins will always be an Eagle.

He always will and I'm sure he'll sign a one day contract to retire with the Birds in the future. I've been worried about his Super Bowl window since 2004.

I'll miss the lack of a growling Wolverine at EAGLES pregame. We eat that stuff in Philadelphia.

Right now, one of the free agents, who is formerly a Detroit Lion, seems to have signed a deal with the underwater Atlantic football league. While sad in nature, it wasn't a big loss to the Lions.

It wouldn't surprise me much at all to see the Colts resign Marvin. I can't imagine anyone wanting to pay 13 million dollars for a 36 year old reciever who has been injured, clearly lost a step and appears to be more careful than he was before he got injured. He just doesn't get the extension he used to.

As Dawkins will always be an Eagle, Marvin will always be a Colt. Best memory of Marvin was his arguing with Peyton over the ball after the record-breaking touchdown pass. Each guy wanted the other to have it.

With Terrell Owens just released, if my team can get him, that could finally boost us into the playoff picture, or perhaps even better yet, push us into Super Bowl contention next season. Let's get him -- we need a talent like his to take us that next level!

T.O. B.O. is GONE! Thanks to Jimmy for that Jimmy exclusive. I was looking for the story right afterwards and it wasn't there at midnight. This morning the gift of the stories fell into my lap.

Jimmy, your team also needs a quarterback.

Browns signed Robert Royal from the Bills.

We need a backup quarterback to Matt Schaub; makes me wonder why my team traded Sage Rosenfels.

I say T.O. should go to the Steelers or Patriots.

If he goes to the Steelers, he can torture more Browns fans.

B.O. fits even more now since he went to Buffalo. I couldn't have saw that coming. I guess they'll be on Monday Night or Sunday Night football.

Owens told reporters "I'm leaving America's team for North America's team."

Can Buffalo get rid of their white with two blues jersey? I don't think the blues mix well.
