Hopefully Matt Kenseth will not win. Go 24!

So i guess the race is longer this year since its called the 427 and not the 400 in years past.

The Shelby 427 AC Ace was a high-power, nimble car with damn near perfect balance and could destroy any road course.

It brings a tear to my eye that they named a NASCAR race after it.Especially a race on an oval track.

Why did they name a race after a car? Are they going to produce the car again?

^Nah I think Mr.s S's Co. just wanted to spread their name everywhere. I just don't understand why they hold a race named after on of the finest road cars ever on an oval track.

That would be like naming a music hall after Helen Keller. Or a new Metal Museum after Ray Charles.

I do agree that the name would have fit better for one of the road races but the race would have to be extended alot since the road races are only 300 miles.

Who knows why Nascar does what they do. The sport is dying very quickly.

It's sad when Charlotte has deals like buy 4 tickets for $80 or $25 single seats. Thats frontstretch as well. The also have a deal for large groups. Buy 35 tickets get 10 free. I also remeber just 2 years ago i paid $500 for infeild & pit passes for the 600. This year I got infeild & pit passes for all 3 races this year for under $500.

What will happen? Junior will choke, but you don't exactly need a crystal ball to make that prediction.

Looks like Johnson might win this one. He's led every lap so far.

Not a bad race for Gordon. Missed pit road, blew a tire and still finished 6th with a big hole in his fender.

^Can't argue with that. I just wish Busch didn't win and Burton did. Too bad for Martin with a blown engine. He's been doing a lot better with Hendrick Motorsports.

I think Martin will get the championship this year or next. At least Gordon is leading in points.

How is blowing an engine two weeks in a row doing better? Sorry to say it but he will not be winning the championship either, he is to polite a driver to move people out of the way when he needs to.

^What I meant was that he is running in the top 10 most of the races.

Problem is, he was not able to finish the last two races, which kills points...at least with DEI last year, the first three races he was on the lead lap at the end of the race with higher finishes other than Daytona.
