NFL - June/July 2009

Dante Stallworth, I know he pleaded guilty to get a 30 day jail sentence but Jimmy broke it to me that the NFL has suspended him, indefinitely. That's a blow to the Cleveland Browns, unless he's known for lengthy injuries as he was known for on the Philadelphia EAGLES.

Being in Charlotte with Wes last week, I also drove by Bank of America Stadium. Sweet sight.

Bear with me, those of you who adore your teams...

Leo, it's not a blow to the Browns. One, the Browns don't have to pay him. Two, they've already drafted two WRs to replace him. Three, 17 catches for 170 yards in 11 games and one touchdown are hardly numbers the Browns will "miss."

Quote:
After a night drinking at a bar in Miami Beach’s Fountainebleau hotel, police said Stallworth hit Reyes, who was rushing to catch a bus after finishing work about 7:15 a.m. Stallworth told police he flashed his lights in an attempt to warn Reyes, who was not in a crosswalk when struck.

His driver’s license was suspended for life and he must perform 1,000 hours of community service.
Anyone that has ever ran across a street with light to mild traffic....would YOU notice a car flashing their lights at you? I know I wouldn't. Did the horn or brakes on his car not work? Obviously not.

Now it is up to a Cincinatti Bengal to take back the arrest record. I think they had 9 players in trouble last year?

The EAGLES' youth movement has always made me concerned at the season's beginning.

Steve McNair was found dead from a fatal gunshot wound in a condo in Nashville today. It was shocking news I heard after my Fourth of July day.

Rumor has it that Michael Vick will be reinstated and then suspended for the first 4 games of the season. Do ya'll think he will come back this season? If so, what team do you think he will sign with?
