MLB 09 September

Cole Hamels has returned! He came back from his vacation apparently. He pitched a 2 hit complete game shoutout win for the Phils last night vs the Giants. 1-0 the Final score.

So sad: Tigers longtime announcer Harwell, 91, has cancer - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

I grew up listening to him and Paul Carey on WJR. "This ball is looooooooooooong gone!" It was a joy to listen to Harwell call a game. But thankfully, I have Tom Hamilton and Mike Hegan for the Tribe. I just wish Vin Scully was in this area...

Phils had a really statement game against Lincecum and those Giants Thursday night. Pedro went 7 and Lidge got a save.

This weekend they're playing the Astros and they've had over a .600 winning percentage over the Phils since 2004. I don't mind if the Jays win this weekend.

Halladay pitched a gem against the Yankees last night holding them to a hit. Snapped the 7-game win streak too. Oh well, we're still atop the MLB by 6 games.
