Exclamation NCAA football Week 1! Are you ready?

Yeah! College football's back, baby! This weekend starts the season, and we've got some matchups.

If you like picking who's going to beat the spread, join Andrew's Yahoo group here.

Group ID#: 1099
Group Password hookemhorns

Games to watch:
  • No. 16 Oregon and No. 14 Boise St. play Thursday.
  • Ohio State and Navy.
  • My team Georgia Tech plays Jacksonville State.
  • USC plays San Jose State.
  • No. 9 Oklahoma State versus No. 13 Georgia should be good.
  • And No. 5 Alabama plays No. 7 Virgina Tech in what could be the game of the week.
So put on your helmets, my friends. NCAA football's here at last!

Thanks for the plug!

I am looking forward to the Midshipmen of Navy waltzing into the Shoe and leaving Buckeye faithful in shock.

The first game Thursday between South Carolina and North Carolina State was dull. What a way to open the season.

But the next game televised was great. Boise State showed Oregon and the rest of the country that it wants a BCS bowl again. Too bad about the ending, eh? Oregon's LeGerrette Blount showed extremely poor sportsmanship. He should be kicked off the team.

Edit: ESPN took the video down, but I'm sure you could find it somewhere.

I blame both players involved in the incident. The smarter thing for the Boise State player would've been to shut his mouth, the smarter thing for Blount to do was not to punch the Boise State player. Instead we get an incident I actually blame both players equally for. The Boise State player KNEW Blount was in a bad mood; if you can't be a good sport or exhibit good sportsmanship, shut your mouth and get off the field. Blount should've kept his cool and left the field ASAP.

Its a incident where both players stupidity showed. If I were the Boise St. Coach, I would suspend the guy who taunted Blount one game for being a idiot.

Now we're subjected to all this BCS Top Ten nonsense for Boise State. Fact is: Not a top ten team. Why? Look at their schedule.

And one more things. GO SAN JOSE STATE...yeah its a long shot...but you never know.

What a douche...

You blame both?

Yes, since flapping off at the gums is an integral part of ANY contact sport, he definitely seserved to get punched in the throat. To blame both of them is weak Kyle. A couple of words should have been exchanged.

Dude talks trash post-game, dude gets punched. I see a correlation.

More like: dude#1 talks trash pre-game, dude#2 makes post-game remark about dude#1's trash talk, dude#1 punches dude#2, then fights teammate, then attacks fans.

It looks to me like Hout said something along the lines of "There's your ass whoopin", in reference to Blount's pregame comment. Should Hout have said anything? No, but the comment itself really wasn't all that harmful. I'd say the blame is more 90% Blount, 10% Hout.

That was a pretty good game. Nice to see a team give Ohio State a fight in the first week. I know my cousin and mom had fun up in D deck at the game. I know my brother had fun being in Script Ohio, as usual.

Unfortunately, I picked OSU to cover...

Came home and saw Penn State got their win over Akron 31-7. I was surrounded by a fury of Ohio State fans.

To start off my season: "WE ARE ----- PENN STATE!"

RUTGERS I have to check up on. Season Opener later this week vs. Cincinnati on ESPN.

I'm surprised how close the Buckeyes and Navy was.

The Chick Fila Kickoff game is tonight: Virginia Tech and Alabama.

Chick Fila is also giving out a chicken sandwich to fans that wear a piece of sports fan gear on Labor Day.

Yeah i know, it wasnt a good sight from what i saw later on in the day.

Lmao, the crying part i was talking about , was the um coach crying during a press confrence after some of his players complaing of them working to hard. Well see guys hard work pays off. I think the ND vs UM game should be a good one.

I actually did not see the game i was out of town , but i saw the highlights later on. I will be down at the game next week with my b/f . If they play like they did yestrday, it wont be pretty. It will be my first time going to a game there, so no matter what , should be a good time.

What about the other good upset and do you think Sam Bradford is done?

I'm pretty disappointed in RUTGERS hosting Cincinnati on ESPN in front of a national audience, debuting their renovated stadium, and they get blown out 47-15. That upgrade was supposed to be for looking up to greater things. Not liking that. I knew Cincinnati had some bite last year.
