NFL 2009 Week 3 9/27/09

The Michael Vick Experience premieres for the regular season this weekend in Philadelphia. After a good 2 and a half years Michael Vick will be eligible to play for the Philadelphia EAGLES. What kind of Wildcat plays will they try to pull off? Donovan McNabb will probably continue to sit out with his rib injury and Kevin Kolb will probably make his second start. What about Jeff Garcia? The Birds play the Chiefs Sunday before their upcoming Bye Week.

If I am allowed to take this from the Week Two thread:

TO is so Buffalo. They blew it versus the Pats.

12/6 @ Dirty Birds.

Who Dey? Who Dey? Dey did it again and beat Pittsburgh at home. I heard the Bengals had two 4th down conversions.

The Titans beat the Titans - Wait. The Titans beat the Oilers, scratches head again. The New York Jets beat the Tennessee Titans today wearing their old AFL jerseys. I like the look. The last time the Jets wore the alternatives it was against Philadelphia so of course I wanted Philly to take that. This time I was feeling the Jets for a game between two teams I have nothing really against. I got a kick out of seeing "Houston" on Jeff Fisher's sweatshirt once again.

Former Bird Greg Lewis got a game winning touchdown from former Packer Brett Favre for Former Bird's offensive coordinator Brad Childress' Minnesota Vikings as they beat the Niners.

I'm glad the Patriots got back to form and pulled away from the Falcons.

Way to go Detroit Lions for getting a WIN finally, one over the Washington Redskins. Thank goodness.

My Philadelphia EAGLES beat the Kansas City Chiefs 34-14. The Chiefs weren't so great so it was real candy to watch. My section never does the chants but today it was going back and forth all over the entire stadium. The young Birds were centerstage today with Kevin Kolb having another good start, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy started as RB for an injured Brian Westbrook. Young LeSean Jackson was explosive again. It was good to finally hear Michael Vick's name announced on the PA during a regular season game. At halftime Randall Cunningham, the cornerstone to my fanhood as a child, was inducted to the franchise's honor roll. I was real excited to see him at the LINC for the first time I've been there. He was listed as "The Ultimate Weapon" on his cover of Sports Illustrated. He's right up there with Reggie White reeling me in. We reached the Bye now. Tampa Bay is up in two weeks.

Carolina - Please get back on the horse and beat the Cowboys!

I am glad to see Michael Vick back out there on the field after nearly three years. I am pulling for him make a comeback and return to form.

On another note: My parents are hosting a party at their house for their Cowboys team tomorrow during the game....well guess what: I am NOT going, so there!

I'm benching TO.

Hey Mangeniuos, Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson are not your answers. You need a REAL QB.

That was a sick to my stomach score for the Browns. I want more from them than just a field goal too.
Would you guys want Jeff Garcia since we have a glut at QB? He did ask to be released from Oakland though.

Oh Man - 11/22 Lions- Browns.

Texas Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys since 1971, is going to be torn down in early 2010.

As if dominating the AFC North in recent years isn't enough, next Monday Night, Ben Roethlisberger will be guest hosting Monday Night Raw, and for backup, he's bringing the Steelers offensive line. http://www.prowrestling.com/article/news/13974

This ought to be interesting.

Well my Panthers look absolutely horrible these days.

It's going to be a long season.

I get so tired of people saying "Jake was really great 3 years ago!", well he was, but today he isn't. It's like he's off his meds now and knows nothing but how to throw interceptions.

On top of that, our defense looks terrible. I can't believe most of these guys played with the cats last year, you'd never know it.

I just realized the Lions have a better record than us now.

Detroit has a better record than Tennessee, St. Louis, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Miami, Carolina, Cleveland, and Houston. What's wrong with that? Nothing!

Detroit was long overdue for a win; they were not going to go 0-16 two seasons in a row. I really think that anybody can beat anybody in the NFL. The discrepancy between the best team and the worst team isn't all that great. Case in point, last season the Texans had a much harder time beating Detroit at home than we did winning at Minnesota (division winner).

Again, Detroit could have just as easily beaten my team at home a year ago and averted their winless season.

Pundits in Cleveland are saying the 2009 Browns are just as bad as the 1999 expansion Browns.

The Browns have ONLY two good players, Josh Cribbs and Phil Dawson.

Wes, I flipped in while I watched the Phils game and saw that 0-0 score. Then later I came in to see the 7-0 Carolina. I should have kept my routine and never watched almost the entire 2nd Half. We could have got a better result.
