| NCAA football Week 5
I skipped Week 4! Sorry. But we carried right on. Tim Tebow got a concussion after a rough tumble on to a teammate's knee, and plenty of top-25 teams were upset or had close calls. This week we've got No. 8 Oklahoma at No. 17 Miami, Michigan at Michigan State, No. 4 LSU at No. 18 Georgia, and No. 7 USC at No. 24 Cal. After Cal's huge loss to Oregon, that USC game might not be as exciting as I'd hoped.

It just may be a good game. USC was a 40+ favorite over Wash. State and only won by 21. Michigan on the road at Michigan State...at least Rich Rod acknowledged the rivalry, and hopefully the team performs well enough to get to 5-0. LSU/Georgia and Oklahoma/Miami are looking good. Good news for Tebow, he's home and his Gators have a week off, so that helps both parties quite a lot.

^ unfortunately, all college announcers will stil be required to mention Tebow every five minutes. That guy can not get to his three year carer as a NFL backup quick enough for me.

Well, another late TD by Michigan, game goes to overtime, and unfortunately, my WOLVERINES lose in OT to the Spartans. Oh well. Regarding college pick-em, I had to make a quick commissioner note. If you have not read it, I'll post it here. Quote:

I have to give them credit, Tate is a wounder full freshmen qb. Going to do some great things for that team. If that ball was not tiped , it could of been a lot different. I watched most of it though i passed out from working a early shift at work. Mabye the venue i am going to tonight will have the osu game on. |

The Michigan State win was my dad's first OMG bottomline score of the day. My Penn State got a Big Ten win beating Illinois 35-17. I'm glad Temple beat Eastern Michigan.

It takes truly amazing abilities to take the crowd out of a game in three plays the way Jonathan Crompton can. Sucks that it's a home game, though.

Vols lose again? Just saw the score, 26-22. Is Crompton a senior? Is there a way to get Lane to play a better QB next week? Kent covered the spread, only lost by 16 to Baylor. Also beat the Bears in total yards (passing AND rushing). Also, one of my worst pickems. I started the early games 1-4.

Dear God, I hope he plays the dog next week. Yes, Crompton is a senior. Thank God for that. They've got the defense to make some serious noise, but they have to get an offense that can stay on the field for more than three plays consistently. I've said it before- the best this team can hope for is 5-5, unless they can get some better play at the QB position.
