NCAA Football Week 8

Where to start?

We have a whole slew of Top 25 teams playing this week, concluding with Kyle L's favorite team, the Boise St. Broncos! Maybe we'll watch #18 Ohio State continue their downward spiral against Minnesota. Is 13 an unlucky number for #13 Penn State as they go against my Wolverines? Can the new #1 Crimson Tide defeat a sporadic Volunteer team?

Locally, Kent State travels to the land of Halloween parties, Athens, OH, and attempts to ruin the Bobcat's Homecoming. New MAC power Temple takes on old MAC power Toledo. Somebody is actually going to win for the first time this year as Eastern Michigan and Ball State hook up.

Any other games y'all looking forward to?

And also, here be the standings at the halfway point of pickem:

Thank you to everyone who continues to participate, except for Buckeye in Badgerland who is pouting.

3 Michigan Turnovers - Not good. At least they were the first team to score in a first quarter against Penn State this season. That blocked punt was pretty cool at the end of the 3rd quarter by Michigan but they fumbled it right back to Penn State. Penn State had the momentum most of the game and took the win. : D

Dhollon's Missouri is playing Texas now.

Georgia Tech's probably going to be ranked in the top 10 for the first time in forever. The Yellow Jackets beat Virginia at Virginia (34-9) for the first time since 1990. I think Tech's finally figured it out!

Arizona beat UCLA, despite trying their hardest to give the ball up with turnovers.

The Clemson-Miami game was probably the best game of the night. Well, Iowa winning for its first 8-0 start was pretty cool too.

Indiana - shame on you. You had the lead on Iowa. I blinked and came back and saw how Iowa came back and jumped ahead.

Penn State - nice win over Northwestern. I am already ahead of the game and thinking about Ohio State next week.

RUTGERS, Temple won as well so I'm happy.

Temple beat Navy, a team that nearly beat Ohio State. Does this mean Temple could hang with Ohio State??

Michigan--UGLY!

Kent State is one win closer to being bowl-eligible!! Let's beat the Zips next week! They said attendance was a shade over 15,000 yesterday, but it didn't look like it. I would love to see the place sold out legitimately.

Yeah really what happen to Michigan. Least osu made the purde game close. Man, i guess purdue wasn't the worse team in the big ten. Ill. Had been so bad, but they made you guys look really bad.
I feel a little better about osu after the last two games, but still i think the next two games will be a tough road ahead of them, that's for sure. Penn state and Iowa looks really good so far.

And USC, mabye they should be the overrated team as well, there is more then osu for that title. If you expect to be a bcs team, you need to get things done. They have not either. GG Oregon.

Boise St. has made an offer to play any team in America in 2011 and guarantee a win.

Boise BCS blocked - College Football - Rivals.com

I like how the Athletic Director makes that offer the season AFTER which Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, and Colt McCoy all enter the draft.

Iowa loses to NW 17-10 and loses there QB in the first half. Whatever happen to that big Michigan team. Loses to Purdue. I bet osu kicks them self for not getting that game. Still they have a 10-7 lead at the moment with Penn St. . Lets hope our D fence keeps it up in the second half.

(*sigh*) I'm not even remotely surprised by today's outcome. That's sad. That's how low my expectations have become. Frickin' Weis. If Chuck doesn't get the axe for today's game, I don't know what the hell they're waiting for.

I'm really bummed Penn State at home is losing to Ohio State. Bummed.

Iowa lost today to Northwestern.

Temple wow, 7th straight win over Miami (OH). I know they just beat Navy, who just beat Notre Dame today. Temple seemed like just a dejected set aside team here in Philly. I'm glad they're raising their ship.

^Temple needed a last second FG to beat Miami (OH). If I were you, I'd be worried about Akron. They knocked us off a little today, BUT we have a week to rest up for Temple.

Michigan...ewww. I will state this again. We ARE going to beat Ohio State this year.

Notre Lame played good today!

Not sure about that one. I feel really good about our D fence. Yeah its not the best out there, but it controlled Penn state really good yestrday. Still our Ofence needs a little more out of them, but there last few games have been good. Its not easy to get points against Penn St. I think our really big test of the year will be next week against Iowa. Even with Ricky Stanzi gone, should still be a test.

Cinci almost went down but there big test might be against WV .
