NFL '09 11/1/09 Week

The heated NFC East rivalries light up this week. The Philadelphia EAGLES host the Giants. Brian Westbrook would likely not play because he suffered a concussion on Monday Night versus Washington. The game got bumped down to 1pm because of the later Game 4 of the World Series also in South Philly with the Phillies and Yankees playing. What a hot bed of activity that will take place in South Philly Sunday.

The Vikings and Packers square off in a 4pm game. Denver and Baltmore go at it. Miami-Jets. Atlanta and New Orleans. It'll be quiet in Pittsburgh as they have a Bye. Come on Carolina versus Arizona.

The EAGLES whooped the Giants in a game that was supposed to be the first real barometer identity game for the two teams for this season. Both teams had not really played anyone except the Saints and the Cardinals for the Giants til today. Brian Westbrook wasn't even in and the Birds buried the Giants 40-17. The Birds picked up interceptions. The young offense scored all across carrying Philly to the burning of the Giants. The Giants only got their wins versus the lousy NFL teams. They lost to the real ones 3 straight now: Saints, Cardinals, EAGLES.

Congratulations Carolina for beating the Cardinals. I believed you could do it. Miami beat the Jets, Denver finally lost, to the Ravens. Dallas beat Seattle.

Hey, Jimmy- have you looked at the Texans record lately? I've been telling you for a couple of years that they were getting close- looks like that may be starting to come true.

I'm a bit concerned about next Sunday's game- that's for sure.

The Browns looked really good yesterday.

Then they got off the team bus.

I'm going to be realistic here: Our three-game winning streak comes to an end next week when we go up against the Super Bowl XLI champions Colts next Sunday; we just don't stand a chance against Peyton.

But yeah, so far my Houston team has never had a better start than this at 5-3.

Would you believe the 1999 expansion Browns were better than this year's version? Tim Couch had a 75 QB rating, while Derek Anderson cheeks in at around a 34.

I can't believe the best thing in Northeast Ohio sports right now is Kent State football!

I would never go in already folding up Mr. Jimmy. In my division against the Cowboys and the Giants you don't just do that. There's already enough rivalry to power those teams in that division. Eli Boy Manning though is a D list actor compared to his brother.

Titans also got their first win of the season with Vince Young at QB. Surprising to say the least.
