We are a week into the season and already the Celtics capture headlines all across the sports world for:
a) their perfect week with the most wins of any team at this point 4-0, and
b) their move, upgrading Rondo's contract by another half-decade and $55 million.

Many question that move by Boston saying he is overpaid, but Celtics fans insist that his talent justifies the contract and are confident he is worth that kind of money.

Denver and Orlando are other undefeated teams in the first week going 3-0. Cleveland after a slow start, has gathered themselves to pull even.

I'm hopeing for atleast a winning season from the Bobcats this year. Playoffs or no playoffs i'm just ready for a winning season.

Looks like the ungrateful Allen Iverson is leaving his team high and dry. Looks like a very short stay in Memphis, the only team that was willing to give him a chance.

No word on how long he'll be away or if he even want to return.

I thought you had something more to say Jimmy but you beat me to to the chance of saying that about "Mr. Practice."

I caught only the beginning of the Detroit-Sixers game in the real time and then the repeat on cable. I heard they lost anyway. I like the red away jerseys for the "new" logo.

Byron Scott became the first head coach to be administered the royal boot. The Hornets GM will replace as coach with Tim Floyd returning as his assistant.

In other, rather peculiar, news, LeBron "The King" James has called for the submission of the #23 jerseys, which he has started.

Nothing wrong with him willingly giving up the number, but don't tell other athletes what not to wear. The number 23 is just that -- a number. Besides, if you ban Jordan's number, you might as well ban Magic's number, Kareem's number, Bill Russell's number, Wilt's number, George Mikan's number, Jerry West's number, and the list goes on and on and on.

One more thing: At this point, who would have thought that Atlanta and Phoenix -- both 8-2 records -- would be leading their respective conferences this far into the season?

Tonight marks the five-year anniversary of the infamous Palace Brawl between the Pacers and Pistons, which occurred on November 19, 2004. ESPN did a special report on a follow up recently.

Ron Artest apologizes to fan - ESPN

Since the riot, John Green, the man that threw the cup was administered a lifetime ban from Pistons home games. Ron Artest was suspended for the remaining 86 games for the Pacers that season.

With the threat to not be used in the 4th quarters the slow Elton Brand picked it up and had a big game versus the Bobcats for a Sixers win last night. Perhaps I'll turn the tv back on and watch some of the next game.
