Feb 2010 NFL: Super Bowl XLIV Miami

This is it. Super Bowl XLIV is being held Sunday February 7th in Miami. The New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts will face each other.

I believe if the Colts win it will be by a touchdown. The Saints I think would win by a field goal if they win.

Kurt Warner retiring from the Arizona Cardinals might have an impact my interests. Wow, his birthplace was Burlington, IA. hehe

I say whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game, and wins it by less than ten points.

Today is the day. It doesn't seem like a stretched out day for me. I don't buy into the "Who Dat?" That's their business. "Who dey?" I liked. I'm going to my friend's Super Bowl party. They asked me long in advance before my neighbors, true Saints fans. I hope the Saints win tonight. I respect Peyton Manning, the general, but I as well respect Drew Brees.

Still funny.

I'm pulling for the Saints, but I think the Colts will win.

Who Dat? WHO DAT?

Go Saints. No we get it Manning. You're the best QB since Joe Montana, but there's nothing wrong with letting Brees hold a Lombardi too, bud.

I don't mind if Peyton does all the talking for the family because he's good with tv, taking jokes. If Eli talks I expect the Pillsbury Dough boy Voice to come out.

This Peyton SNL clip made the SNL classic Sports episode reel.

This just reported on Fox Sports radio- Freeney is a go. This doesn't surprise me, as I have been a bit suspicious that his ankle injury has been overblown a bit.

Well, I was right about the first part. Sucks to lose, but it sucks less to lose to the Saints. Great organization, great QB, great coach. Congrats on a job well done.

Glad to see that our black and gold brothers from the NFC could win it. WHO DAT!?

And I feel my prediction was pretty good enough to secure the first pick in the Coaster Draft for the 2nd year in a row.

All around, that was a good, if not, great game! Penalties were few, there were some great plays...the onside kick to start the second half, the 2 point conversion, the Peyton INT...and in the end, the Saints won. Heck, even Hartley was good, what was that 3 field goals of 40+, a new Super Bowl record?!?! Kent State was represented on both teams (Usama Young, Saints & Daniel Muir, Colts)

As far as the commercials...they weren't too bad. Halftime with the Who? was good. I only cared for the CSI and CSI: Miami themes

I'M GOING TO SIX FLAGS NEW ORLEANS!!! Oh wait.

Wow, what a ballsy call, the onside kick. I think Andy Reid would have called that. This all means the Super Bowl Champions came through Philadelphia and beat us. Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints for winning their first Super Bowl. The NFC won. That interception was such a Wow moment. I had enough that I didn't even recall seeing the first New Orleans touchdown. At the end of the game I really wanted Peyton to get that touchdown to get the Colts to at least 24. I just had an itch for that, even the first overtime in Super Bowl history. New Orleans 31- Indianapolis 17. Thus concludes another NFL season.

I noticed the one guy went to Mount Union. I think that's in Ohio. They played our Rowan University before.

Mount Union is near me, kind of. It is in Alliance, OH which is 20 miles SSE of Kent. They are Division III and don't lose very often. "The Purple Raiders won 110 consecutive regular-season games between 1994 and 2005, posted 14 undefeated regular seasons, won 16 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, and had the best overall record in the 1990s (120-7-1 .941)." Mount Union College - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And the one you are thinking of is Pierre Garcon, who has family in Haiti.

Rowan vs. Mount Union in the 90's. I knew that was a big game. We drove by on Route 30 on the way back from Chicago once.

One of the better Super Bowls since my cats were in there and it was a close game in that one too.

Wow San Diego and Philadelphia released LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook. Wow, it's already time to go with a new generation of running backs. In Philly we kinda sensed and worried for Brian Westbrook after he got two concussions during the season that this could be it. He was an awesome weapon in his prime. I'll never forget him being on our Super Bowl team and the huge game he had at Giants Stadium.
