Now here is a bit of controversy I found comical (and sad for both sides)

Cleveland Indians crowd taunts fan in LeBron James Heat jersey - ESPN

That guy had some nerve to wear LeBron's new Heat jersey to a Cleveland hosted game (MLB in this case) in light of the LeBron situation, but really did the fans have to yell or throw things at him? Has it gotten so low in Cleveland to where the name LeBron James has gone from being sacred to a curse word? And hopefully that guy with the Heat jersey for his own sake has learned his lesson and will never attempt anything like that again, especially considering people are so unforgiving these days.

Allegedly, the guy was walking around the Home Run Porch egging people on. Both NYY and Tribe fans were giving him hell. Either way though, if I see a prick Buckeye fan or someone who's a fan of a team I don't particularly like, I let them be and don't try to even them out, which is what those fans were trying to do last night.

Stay classy Cleveland!!

I just read in the Cleveland Plain Dealer today that Zydrunas, who had signed with the Heat shortly after Lebron did, took out a full page ad in Sunday's Plain Dealer, THANKING the fans for standing by him. Gee, I wonder which Heat player is going to get cheered when they come to Cleveland?

I agree the fans really did go to far. Still I think it was completely stupid for that guy to come in and flaunt the fans like that. Honestly he knew what he was doing and just wanted to piss everyone else off.

Honestly I could care less about any of them. I hope to be there when Miami comes to Cleveland. Its going to be killer.

The NJ Nets have filed paperwork towards changing their name. I heard the process takes about 2 years. The Brooklyn Reds?

In an emerging subplot of the summer (of LeBron) is that Carmelo Anthony is reportedly rejected an upgrade to his contract offered by Denver, so it's likely he is on the move as he can opt out of his current contract after this season to become a free agent. So speculation has already been started as to his next home.

Love to see Melo in Cleveland. Hey, it almost happened, but that damn ping pong ball bounced Cleveland's way.

Carmelo has one more year before he can opt out, so it's probably coming down to "renting" him for a year if any team is interested in trading for him. If he signs that three-year contract upgrade, that opens up more trade options for Denver and provides more stability for teams interested and that can take on his $65 million salary.

If he decides to opt out and be a free agent, It probably hinges on Chris Paul and where he might end up. It's quite possible (probably likely) that Carmelo could go to New Orleans and join Chris Paul, who is wanting another all-star player with him.
