question...

i have a question on the .htaccess file. What is it used for? is it for something like the error page, the html requirements. what is it for.

It is used to restrict access even futher to a certain directory, as a part of Tn.net I do believe that you are not allowed to upload a .htaccess file as it poses a security risk.
