Hey guys, my name is Tina aka Da Queen, or CoasterqueenTRN....or just....Coasterqueen. I have actually been here (mostly lurking) for several years now. There is not much to tell. I am almost 34 years old (a die-hard, brutally honest, impatient Sagitarrius) single, and was born and raised in the coaster capital of the world: West Virginia. I also lived in Philadelphia for 7 years, as well as a Dayton, OH. I don't have any "human" kids but I have two cats, Timbers and Kumba, who are spoiled rotten. I guess you can say Camden Park is my homepark but since I am within 3 1/2 to five hours to most parks in the mid-atlantic I have my pick.....anything from Kennywood/PKI (the closest) to Holiday World to Carowinds to Hershey. I grew up going to Camden, PKI, Silver Dollar City, Disney World, and the Myrtle Beach parks, especially the now defunct Magic Harbour. This is where I developed my *coaster chops* so to speak. Other than the Big and Little Dippers at Camden, my first coasters were the Swamp Fox, and the now defunct Corkscrew and Galaxi coasters at Myrtle Beach. The Beast was my first *big* coaster. Magnum was my first *big* steel coaster. Flight of Fear at PKI was my first launcher. Hypersonic was the first coaster to make me shake. Dragster was the first to me me um.....*censored*My favorite parks are Cedar Point, Kennywood, Knoebels, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Dollywood, Knott's Berry Farm, Indiana Beach, Six Flags Over Georgia, SF America (for the coasters) and Holiday World. I am a HUGE launch fangirl, so TTD ranks the top. Other steel faves are Goliath (SFMM), Riddlers, Raptor, Magnum, Nitro, Kingda Ka, Phantom's Revenge, Apollo's, Raging Bull, Hypersonic, X-Flight, Batmaninator, and SROS (Maryland and NY...still haven't been to the one in New England.) I am also a huge GCI fangirl: Thunderhead is my fave woody, in addition to Lightning Racer and Roar. I also love Legend, Raven, Tsunami (I refuse to call it the wussified "JR2" or whatever the ******* the politically correct name is now,) Screechin Eagle, Viper (Great America,) and Phoenix. I am VERY fussy about coasters and will write one off if it hurts me. I am especially fussy about woodies. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all coasters but I prefer to just ride the ones I love. I also love Intamin drop towers....anything from the 1st generations (like Demon Drop and Mr. Hyde's) to Pittfall to my ALL-time favorite drop ride.......The Drop Zone at PKI. I also love the Huss frisbees, Tilt A whirls, Whips on crack (like the one at Camden!) and cheesy haunted house rides. I have a very strange love of heights and would love to BASE jump or skydive someday. I was in heaven on top of the Stratosphere riding XScream (unfortunately Insanity was closed at the time.... )I really dig small parks like Conneaut, Legoland, Adventure City, LeSourdsville, and of course Camden Park. I take an interest in preserving them as much as possible. Support your small parks! Other than coasters I am into general travel, beer, trying new foods, zoos, my new car, photography, American history, 80's and 90's rock and roll, video games (DDR and Grand Theft Auto especially!) RCT, camping/hiking and surfing the net/chatting with my best friends. I am not into conventional sports but I do love watching "extreme" sports like snowboarding, skateboarding, and skeleton. One of my favorite things to do is jump in my car and just drive...anywhere. I love seeing new places and learning about different cultures and history. My favorite bands are Nickelback, Live, The Killers, Joss Stone, The Doors, Evanessance, Duran Duran, Blondie, The Beatles, Cinderella, Alice In Chains, the Chili Peppers, STP, Alannis, old school Motley Crue and of course everything 80's and 90's as far as rock. I am a "rocker" chick by heart but I can dig a lot of pop and new age. I usually depend on my *younger* friends (like Katie) to keep me up-to-date on what's new and cool (or what I deem as cool....lol.) I sometimes play guitar (although I suck) as well as drums (which I am better at) and used to be a band nerd all through Jr. High and High School (even though I evened it out by being a "rocker" chick as well.) I played alto sax for 6 years, as well as percussion. We never had band camp though. Heheheheh. Like this one time.........NOT! I am an ACE and Buzz member as well, and help Katie run CNA when I can. I don't take the coaster hobby seriously like a lot of people. It's all about fun and friends, nothing more. I laugh at the trolls and know who to stay away from. I also love movies although I am WAY behind. My faves are Thelma and Louise, The Terminator, Dogma, and anything John Hughes (yeah, I am an 80's child...like, wow!) I also love Melrose Place reruns, and Nip/Tuck. I also like male strippers and Playgirl, although Charleston, WV is not really the place to pursue those hobbies. Overall I am a very laid back, easy-going, daydreaming chick who just loves to have fun and coast through life (no pun intended..lol) Life is too short to take it too seriously. That's about it. -Tina Last edited by coasterqueen; 12-04-2005 at 01:17 PM. |

Welcome to TN, although the male stripper thing is kinda disturbing.

^I'd have to wonder about her if she preferred female strippers. Tina, nice to have you here. Do you have a Cliff's Notes version of that intro? Sometimes I wish more people would put details into their intros instead of the "Hi, I'm new, that's it."

What a coincidence, I am single too....and looking now. Anyway Tina, welcome back....great to have you back with us once again. I also took a long "break" from TN then came back a couple of years later. Surely you will enjoy the site now more than in the past.

Hopefully you won't be one of those people that joins/ comes back, posts 2 or 3 times, and then leaves.

Actually I forgot I even had an account here until a few weeks ago. I joined up when it was still Thrillride! Luckily I wrote down my password. I won't be a stranger. I like what I have seen. Thanks for the warm welcome, again. -Tina Last edited by coasterqueen; 12-04-2005 at 05:34 PM. |

Hey... nice to see you posting again . Your intro should be the model intro for everyone else who wishes to post theirs! On behalf of the staff... feel free to come to us if there is indeed any issue. While we may not seem approachable at first... many people simply don't try, and things just snowball based on assumption. After all, many of us like the things you mentioned (well, at least in my case, I don't go for male strippers or Playgirl, and I have an excellent girlfriend... even though Flint has a ton of adult bookstores and strip clubs -- none for women though :P). Anyway, have fun, and again... feel free to be active.

Katie, I thought my job was to keep YOUR butt in line. I never had any issues with this site, I just simply forgot to post again one day (I am old and forget things easily....just ask Katie.....lol.) I think I still have an account on one of the PKI sites..... Anywoo it's great to be active here again! Steven, That's the story of my life. Charleston is FULL of adult bookstores and strip clubs, but nothing for us girls. Every now and then a "male revue" will come to town but it's been a while. I miss "The Cave" in Philly. Andrew, Female strippers are cool. If I could dance I would do it. Depending on the place some of those girls make a KILLING! -Tina |

HI (COASTERQUEEN) Tina Glad you decided to join in on the conversations. Really enjoyed your introduction. One of my favorite things also is travel and just getting in the car and go for a ride. See ya on the boards and welcome to TN. Johnny
