| A Long Overdue Hello
I know I've been here for a while now, but I never properly introduced myself, so here I go. General: Well, I'm human, I'm 13, I'm male, I'm in 8th grade, and I love coasters. I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter and Studio Ghibli films. Coasters: My first coaster was a kiddie at the Winnesheik County Fair in Winnesheik County, Iowa when I was about three. I loved it so much that I went home and created the "Winnesheik County Homemade Fair" with various toys. About a year and a half later, I visited Valleyfair! (incidentally, the year Wild Thing opened) and rode Mild Thing over and over. I've gone to VF! at least once every season but one since then. In 1998 I went to Six Flags Great America. I rode only Spacely's, Whizzer (which was my new favorite) and American Eagle as I had not yet reached 48". I did, however, watch my dad ride B:TR and Shockwave. Over the summer of '99 I was lucky enough to go to Parc Asterix in France. 2000 was the year it changed. I reached 48". That summer we went to Six Flags St. Louis, which had a brand new coaster: The Boss. I rode it once, along with Screamin' Eagle and River King Mine Train. We moved from Minnesota to Iowa in 2003, so I had to adjust to a new home park: Adventureland. In 2004, I experienced Cedar Point. Our visit was to be July 4 - July 5. Then we would drive to Pennsylvania to see relatives and go to Hersheypark, especially for Storm Runner. Fortunately, it all worked according to plan. I got a chance to ride every CP coaster but Jr. Gemeni and Woodstock Express and every HP coaster but Trailblazer. Later in the season, I traveled down to Worlds of Fun for the first time. Last summer, I attended my first and second ACE events. In June was CoasterCon XXVIII. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I got a chance to relive my past and experience renovations at SFGAm. I discovered the Herschell Mad Mouse at Little A-Merrick-A. I rode Hades in its opening year at Mt. Olympus. And I found love in Avalanche at Timber Falls. Later that year, I attended CoasterCrazy @ VF! 2005 was also the year I rode my first skycoaster - RipCord at WoF. My plans for the next few years are as follows: In 2006 I will take the trip to WoF in May or early June to ride Patriot. Also in June, I will go on the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip, which ends with an afternoon at BGW. I might work at Adventureland. I also might go to Branson for SDC and CC and over to SFSL again. In 2007 I will probably go to the abnormally long CoasterCon XXX, at PKI, Beech Bend Park, and Holiday World. Nothing so far for 2008, but in 2009 I may attend CoasterCon XXXII at SDC and CC. So far I have 83 coasters in my count and I'd like to reach 100 by the end of 2006. My top coasters: Top five wood 1. Avalanche @ Timber Falls 2. Lightening Racer @ Hersheypark 3. Hades @ Mt. Olympus 4. Zeus @ Mt. Olympus 5. Viper @ SFGAm Top five steel 1. Millennium Force @ CP 2. Raging Bull @ SFGAm 3. Magnum XL-200 @ CP 4. Storm Runner @ Hersheypark 5. Mamba @ WoF Top ten overall 1. Millennium Force @ CP 2. Avalanche @ Timber Falls 3. Lightening Racer @ Hersheypark 4. Raging Bull @ SFGAm 5. Hades @ Mt. Olympus 6. Magnum XL-200 @ CP 7. Storm Runner @ Hersheypark 8. Mamba @ WoF 9. Steel Venom @ VF! Other: I've read all six Harry Potter books and seen all three movies. The books are masterpieces. My favorite is Half-Blood Prince, followed by Order of the Phoenix, Prisoner of Azkaban, Sorcerer's Stone/Philosipher's Stone, Goblet of Fire, and Chamber of Secrets. The movies aren't nearly as good. Goblet of Fire is a weak favorite, but is a tad better than Chamber of Secrets, which, in turn, is a little better than Sorcerer's Stone/Philosipher's Stone. Prisoner of Azkaban was truly awful. I love many kinds of thrill rides. My favorites are skycoasters, but I love drop towers and top spins. My favorite skycoaster is RipCord @ Valleyfair!, my favorite drop tower is Giant Drop @ SFGAm, and my favorite top spin is Thunderhawk @ WoF. My dream is to major in Communications and write for a coaster-related magazine. If that can't happen, I would enjoy a career in computers or astronomy. Thank you for having the patience to read this and, again, please overlook the fact that it's a bit late.

To be so young you've got quite an impressive track record. I'm also a Potter fan as well as a fan of Studio Ghibli.

Like Vekoma said, it is kind of hard to welcome you to the site, since you have been here practically half a year already. Other than that, it was nice getting to know you better.
