i knew i missed thrillnetwork when...

so the other day I was in orange county for work, i now live in Santa Barbara and rarely make it down, and driving past Knotts on the 91 for a meeting I wanted so bad to hop off, renew my long expired season pass and ride Ghost Rider just once. Later, having lunch with my sister, she lets me know that ghost rider was removed from the park! I was in shock. It was like a little piece of myself that i had neglected for too long was missing. For days it stuck with me, and every once in a while I remembered and was brought down a little. then finally like two minutes ago I googled it and found it still operational. oh the joy. shes always wrong.

(ps if it is actually being removed as she insists please someone tell me! i'm so confused right now)

But then I realized that this was mostly my fault for having left behind ThrillNetwork, the freakish obsession with something so childish, the silly political arguments in the general talk, all the times a thread of mine got closed because it was inappropriate, even the outright geekiness that would explode in the photos forum every time someone among us was found out to be a good looking female. Anyways just wanted to say how much i appreciate it, don't stop enjoying it!

How long were you not on here? If it was a while, let me be the first to say "Welcome Back!"

When I first read the part about your sister saying Ghost Rider was gone I immediately went to rcdb.com to check. Just like you I had a huge relief to see it was still there. Then I read the rest and saw your sister was wrong lol.

Welcome back!

Just like coastergeek I panicked a little when I read what your sister said about Ghost rider (haven't ridden it it....just have not made it to the park)

I am pretty new myself but just wanted to say again welcome back to the forums!

It's all good. It's a different TN, where we (usually) don't flame each other just because we differ in opinion.

Welcome back, and there has been no talk (that I know of) of Ghost Rider going anywhere.

Although from what I hear it's a piece of junk these days anyway.

I doubt GhostRider is riding into the sunset, either.

GhostRider has a special place in my 'coaster-heart' (hah). It was my first "big-time" coaster, as well as my first Wooden.

Welcome back. Keep posting!

I keep checing the site out, but I just don't see the "fun" happening, like the fun I knew on this site.

It's become more of a "News" site of Amusement Parks and Coasters, etc, rather than a "fun" site to be at about coasters and such.

But, it's good, I think those that started this site, wanted it to become this way, so all is good.

Hey, I left one rollercoaster site because it was so boring, so I decided to try this site out, and for some time it was so much fun. Now, I see that this site, has become exactly like that other one. Sorry, but you have!

Leeloo, you should still post though. Sure, it's a different time for TN, but we still have most of the core members that made it fun. I don't post as much but I still check TN everyday.

There you "go" using these "quotation marks" when completely "unnecessary".

Had to Leeloo, sorry.

I was actually underneath all the craziness. I didn't post much 6 years ago and arose in the last 4 to where we are today.

LeeLoo, if it wasn't for the coaster draft...I'd be gone. The coaster draft allows my creativity to really flow!

From what I have heard the only thing happening to Ghost Rider is it's going through a rehab period and will be down for a while, or they may have done that already. I don't really know because I heard it last August and a lot could have changed since then.

Anyhow you probably don't know me so I'll give a brief intro. My name is Ellen, home park is Cedar Point and the Former Geauga Lake, and I'll be moving out to Orange County, CA in about 3 days...

Wow! A post from leeloo. I knew I had to post in a thread like that.

I'm not on the site near as much as I used to either. I still could be getting details about VF like I used to, I just find myself losing interest.

In the end, I blame World of Warcraft.

Yeah Video games will distract you for a while that is a fact. I have recently been bringing my GBA SP to school playing when I can.
