I found my half-decade-ago personality and thought process is so much different than my current state of mind.

I'm probably not as much of a long time member as you guys, but I do remember after I first joined(the whole year of 2006), I didn't post much on the forums and I spent more time in the Ride & Park DB than I do now.

From a few years ago compared to now? I'm posting about the same, but this year, I'm letting more hang out and not holding back on some comments.

I would say that I have changed quite a bit in some ways over the last seven-and-a-half years, and so has the quality of posts by members overall. We have come a long ways since May 2001.

Back then, our discussions couldn't even keep up with the ever-changing landscape of the industry as things kept changing all the time. Even during the offseason the discussion here was very lively and even a bit heated at times. Now with fewer and fewer changes/additions to parks these days, we're just waiting for some kind of news to come around. Even the biggest changes today would hardly be of matter back in 2001. Many even argue (including myself) that the second Golden Age is long gone.
