1 the ability to hide the left column so you can make the forums look the old way (the entire page). Like you have here

2 the ability to just check off the coasters that you have ridden on the database page and just have a button at the bottom to update it. The same thing would be nice for the parks.

What is the thing in this picture for? It does not do anything.

Will Chat ever be working again?

So far, I like the new color schemes and such. Good job! But.. the site definately needs some work.

First off, I don't like having the forums squished to the right by the sidebar. I think everyone on here would prefer that the forums were full screen just like the good old days. (But keep the new color scheme and board layout!)

Also, nobody can figure out the track record thing. I finally did, but I'm missing a lot of coasters. It took me forever just to add 70 coasters. I think this needs to be revised.

Finally, there should be a link directly to the forums/chat on the sidebar menu.

Thats all for now!

This what I had in the "Suggestions" forum before they closed it.

Hey, nice job on the new site, could use some work, though.

1. The coaster/park count system is really cumbersome to navigate. Please give me a list of coasters and parks, the ability select multiple entries, and add them to my record that way. Having to visit each page for each park and coaster is tiresome and unnecessary. Furthermore, I don't think it's necessary to have a confirmation page when a single coaster is added. It's just plain annoying.

2. The quick links at the upper left is nice, but I wish "forums" was a choice, too.

3. In quicklink box at upper left, combine "submits news/reviews and submit rumors" into one link.

When I think of more, i'll post more.

I think there should be an easier, quicker way to add your park and coaster count. Maybe doing a check list on the coasters at each park and a submit button for those? That way we could add multiple coasters at a time instead of having to click, click, click. That would save some time for people on slower bandwidths such as myself and many other members. Also, is there a way we could have the forums run faster? Maybe by removing one or two ads? I don't know. Just some suggestions.

YEs the fulls creen boards all the way. Also, just a suggestion, but since there are so many ads, couldn't you afford the bandwidth for banner sigs now? Don't take this the wrong way i'm not trying to make trouble, just a question. Also some of the boards colours don't match, but overall good job!

As for the sigs I don’t think we will be getting banners because all the new ads are paying for all the new bandwidth that is being used for the new stuff. But I do think if you stay with the left column we should be able to have 4 or 5 line sigs because the new configuration seems to be making 3 line sigs become 4 or 5 line sigs.

I also noticed that the colors don’t match. Here are some things that need fixing in the color area.
1 new buttons that mach the new color
2 don’t make the text in the database sky Blue because it is hard to read.
3 that big purple thing at the top of the forum home needs to be red.
4 in the user CP the bottom line of the Park / Coaster Count needs to be red

I definatley agree about this. I just realized that the site was up, so I haven't really had a chance to explore the features. I'll edit this if I discover things that I think need improvement. At least all our posts weren't erased and we don't have to reregister.

I agree also! I dont like the forums squished to the side! PUt that navigation bar on the top or something And make a quiklink to the forums. And The words are too small! ANd too mush popups! The main thing is, I want full screen forums, not squished to the right!!!

o. yes. But you can also add new parks to the database via any park page and also add the park to your Count from there too.

If your going to keep that HUGE left nav bar, you should include a link to the Boards, the most popular feature. Its kinda annoying to have to click on Enthusiasts and then click on forum when your in other parts of TN

Well, it's working better and better. I like the apparently new bit of being able to add several coasters at once to your count from the park page. Here's a few suggestions on a rapidly improving site:

1. When accessing a park page, instead of a blank box by every coaster, add some symbol to indicate when you have previously added a coaster to your count. That way you're not wondering if it's on your count or not- the info is right there.

2. Have a method for removing a coaster or park from your count. Yes, mistakes do occur.

3. Racing and dueling coasters should have 2 count boxes available, and in some cases 3 for when one side occaisionally gets turned around backwards. Not everyone will use all the boxes, but some will.

4. Again, on the park page where it lists the coasters, have it say if that coaster is operating or defunct. Makes it easier to tell how many coasters a park currently has without having to check out every single coaster.

5. The submit a park and update park info links currently have me locked out. I've got 3 parks with 5 coasters to add there. Plus there are all the coasters on teh traveling fair and carnival circuits. They need to be included in the data base.

6. The ability to look up parks and coasters alphabetically in addition to using the search functions, would be a nice addition.

That's a pretty good list to start off with and give you a few things to tackle. Keep up the great work. It's getting there!

I have a suggestion:

On the Enthusiasts Page, clicking the "Chat Icon" should automatically launch the chat, instead of bringing up another page that says "Lets CoasterChat!"

Also, I think it would be funny if the Chat icon looked like this: (hehe )
