B&M Speed Coasters

Here's the second batch in my wave of recreations. These are the world's four B&M Speed Coasters, or in other words, their hypercoasters. Again there are the four track files and one park featuring each coaster. I will re-release a themed version of Apollo's Chariot and a "parking lotted" version of Silver Star in the near future. Hope you enjoy these, and remember that three replies are needed for the next one (Intamin Megacoasters!).

Includes:
  • Apollo's Chariot @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg
  • Nitro @ Six Flags Great Adventure
  • Raging Bull @ Six Flags Great America
  • Silver Star @ Europa Park
Attached Files
File Type: zip b&m speed coasters_r2k.zip (65.2 KB, 46 views)

Great recs this time. The smaller versions really work excellent on the B&M Speed Coasters. I especially found your rec of Silver Star and Nitro to be the best. Very accurate.

AC--Great ride. The drop, and 2nd, 3rd drops were great. I know RCT has it limits, which made it harder for the helix to come out right, but it still turned out great.

Nitro--Excellent. Probably the best of the bunch. Super accurate, and I love the helix and 4th drop on this ride.

Silver Star--Probably my favorite of the bunch just because I haven't seen many pics of it. The ride looks like it would be awesome to see in person.

Also, thanks bunches for making the themed rides of this group. Especially Silver Star! Awaiting the recs patiently

One thing I don't understand. Why are they having only 102' (real world feets) tall drops and a top speed of just 83 km/h (52 mph)?

I have made a Nitro that goes to the correct speed (and a "near correct" height)

Well if you had read my post in the B&M Floorlesses thread, you would know that I only recreate their layouts, not their exact heights and speeds. There's three reasons why I do this:

1. I'm not good with making BIG coasters on flat terrain. Give me a mountain or something to work with and voila, it will look good.

2. Its foolish to try and recreate coasters in RCT to their correct height and speed because the heights and speeds are already wrong in RCT.

3. There's always too much straight track. Since the lift hill on a big coaster like Nitro is so long, the bunny hops on the return trip would have to be extended, with straight track between. I'm sure that on your recreation, however, you probably did that lift hill that alternates between low grade lift and high grade track, which IMO looks ugly.

Personally, I like these small recreations since you can easily fit them into a park. They're just so simple, too.

P.S.- SFMM DUDE's post didn't count as a reply, Dark Luke's did, so one more and I'll release Intamin Megacoasters. A themed version of Apollo's Chariot will be coming later today, too!

These all look pretty accurate. I loved Nitro, it looks like it would be an awesome coaster in real life.

BTW, You are posting Imtamin megacoasters next? What about the other types of B&M coasters like Inverteds? Have you recreated those at all, or are you just deciding to show them later? I'd be real interested in seeing all the inverts and steel loopers and such.

Well, I would, but there are still a few B&M Inverteds that I need to work on. I need to totally recreate Project Calypso and fix Alpengeist, Montu, and Great Bear. The Intamin Megacoasters will come now since I'm almost done them. Just need to fix the SFDL and SFA S:ROS's.
