| SFGAm on Mon Oct 8. MUST READ I just got back from SFGAm a couple hours ago. I'll divide it into two catoragories: the good and the bad.
This is my homepark, so I wont leave reviews for the coasters other than Deja Vu. I and many othersa have left reviews of the coasters there. So I will just mention other aspects of the day.
GOOD: I got to the park about 9:45, just a little before opening. We were lined up just outside the one bridge. When it was time, it felt like being at CP's "runnning of the bulls". I wanted to run to Deja Vu, but it was down, so instead went to Raging Bull. Good thing I've started my aerobics, I was able to get to Raging Bull pretty quickly and only had to wait for two or three trains to go. Basically I didn't really have to wait because by the time I got to the station it was a walk-on. After that I went on American Eagle, Batman, Iron Wolf and Shockwave between 10 and 11am. The only coaster that had a long wait was Deja Vu. Everything was no more than a twenty minute wait and even throughout the day many rides were walk-ons. Altogether, I got to go on Raging Bull three times, Giant Drop, Batman,Shockwave,Amercian Eagle,Iron Wolf all twice. I also got to go on Viper and Deja Vu once. Not bad for the park being open only 8 hours today. Deja Vu was awesome!!! So many great things about it. Being pulled backwards facing the ground is the best.
BAD: When I got to the park, I found out from a worker who was going to run Deja Vu for the day that it was down because the grease had been solidifying on the wheels of Deja Vu becuase it was cold in the morning. To me that makes no sense, why wouldn't that problem affect other coasters, I asked. They replied that it uses a different grease. Whatever, I can't understand why they open it now when the weather is colder and then use a grease that would have this problem. So as this month of October goes by, expect more problems as the weather gets colder. Another thing that was a mess, V2 was down for the whole day. I asked a couple workers, the first didn't know why it was down and the second said it would be down for the rest of the season. Now I'm not trying to start any rumors, the worker may have not known what they were talking about. But I do know that not for a moment was V2 running. IF it is down for the rest of the season and with Deja Vu having possibly more problems as it gets colder, this would very well look to be a very scary fright fest indeed.
