Lightbulb Good CP Strategy

this is the best strategy for getting the most out of 1 day at CP:

arrive as early as possible to get as close to the front of the line as you can.
make a mad-dash to MF, and get a short line.
ride MF, then go to the other coasters while most other people are at MF, and the lines will be short.

using this strategy, you should be able to ride most or all of the coasters in one day

another tip, if you arrive before gates open, go to the marina entrance, it takes a lot off the run. i do mean a lot.

My tip.....

This is what I did and I got on everything. Head to the middle of the park, ride a couple of smaller coasters for warm-up(Wildcat, Iron Dragon, or Blue Streak), then hit Mantis. Try Raptor between 5 and 8:30, everyones in the back of the park.

Use the Marina Entrance and go for MF first. You should be able to get in 2 rides before the line gets too long.

Of course next year, use the main entrance, and run towards the ferris wheel...whatever they end up building will be automatically become the most popular ride (at least to start with)!

Park in the back and ride Mean Streak, Gemini , MagnumXL-200
And slowly make your way to the front of the park, Raptor and Disaster Transport, then head toward the back and youll be going the opposite way of the crowd throughout the day.

This might be a little off subject but it must be said. When you wait please stretch. When one doesn't strectch before doing extended running it will hurt a lot afterwards. Many people who don't run in sports much forget this.

Do the side gates open at the same time?

Yes, all the gates open at *approximately* the same time -- there's a supervisor at each, and their watches aren't exactly synchronized, but you're only talking at most 1-2 minutes difference. They wait until after the national anthem anyway.
