Well, I just want to start off by saying that I have had a great year at Six Flags Over Georgia. Though there were many problems (Deja Vu) and sadnesses (Viper), the year was great!
I went today, Oct 28, to check out Fright Fest and see the work on the former site of Viper. Well, the place was pretty full, so I didn't get to ride many of the coasters, actually just one. I rode the Great American Scream Machine, and as always, the air time was absolutely incredible.
Well, first off, I want to tell you all that SFoG's Fright Fest is really weak. I know it isn't supposed to be the best in Halloween theming, but they could have done a little better. There were two haunted houses, Fearman's Manor and the Carnical of Chaos (Clowns). The Carnival of Chaos was, in my opinion, a lot better, but I must say that both houses were extremely cheesy. The decorations around the park seem to have been upgraded.
Well, I want to get to the more important stuff. The site where Viper used to be has changed very much. I didn't even recognize it at all. First, the station for Viper is still standing, it is pretty strange actually. The area around the site is completely razed and earth is being moved around big time. It is actually kinda strange to look at the old Viper station surrounded by piles and piles of dirt that seem to be being moved in order to make some room for something huge. Whatever Six Flags is planning, it is gonna be huge just basing my idea on the size of the site.
Well, I want to say thanks to Six Flags for a great year. I can't wait to come back next year.
Oh by the way, Deja Vu seemed to be open at about 2:30 for about 3 trainloads of guests and then it closed down, to the dismay of the full queline...
Well, thanks for reading and see ya around the theme park circuit.
