Orlando Trip

I wanted to write a trip report about my most recent Coaster trip!

For my 30th birthday we went to Orlando for the week.

We first went to IOA. This park has incredible theming, and the show were great also.

I was able to ride Hulk without any wait. So I rode it in the front, back, middle, etc. And this is the best coaster I've ridden so far! Loved it!

Dueling Dragons is also a great ride. Probably my favorite inverted. The que line is ridiculous, however. What is up with the 2 mile walk!! Rides in the front are definately better, since you see the near misses. But rides in the rest of the train are also great! This and Montu make the top of my inverted list.

We also spent some time at Disney World. We did the Backstage Magic Tour. I highly recommed this to anyone who is curious about what goes on there! We were able to go through the Utilidor, see the Creative Costuming, Central Shops, etc.

We did see the theming for the new rollercoaster at Animal Kingdom being worked on at Central Shops.

Our next coaster park was Sea World.

The shows here were also very enjoyable. The park, however, was dirty. Kraken was a good ride, but definately not up to the hype.

I had a ride again coupon for it. I tried to use it my first time on the ride and was told I couldn't use it. So I had to walk back through the line and wait. Since they were only running one train, this took awhile. So this time I ask if I can use the coupon. I was told yes, no problem. The ride is over, and again I'm told to get off and go back through the line! The ride operators actually got pretty rude about it.

Well after a visit with Guest Services, I recieved several front of line passes for Busch Gardens. Which really helped!

We went to BGT on Saturday. The park was very crowed.

Nice park, not as well themed as BGW, though.

The animal exhibits were better than BGW, however. We really enjoyed Rhino Ralley! Very similar to Animal Kingdom's Safri ride.

Now to the coasters...

Montu is an incredible inverted coaster. I rode this several times and really loved it. Nice g's, great inversions, and fast!

Kumba is a good ride. I wouldn't put it in the top 5, as BG braggs about though.

Kwazi was a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting much and actually enjoyed it.

Scoprion was closed for annual maintenance.

Python is a classic, old steel coaster. It was fun to ride but I won't do it again.

Overall, loved the trip. Lots of coasters in a short period of time!

Nice TR. I agree with about everything you said. Kraken is great, but I think the Hulk is still better. I'm surprised to hear that SWO was dirty, though. It must have been a bad day. The DD queue is very long, but at least it has excellent theming. The long walk is also a good way to burn off those giant burgers they serve in the Jurassic Park section. Kumba is starting to show a little roughness because of its age, especially in the corkscrews. It's still a great ride, though, and it has one of the best finishes on a coaster.
