| | | A few CP questions... I am driving to CP next week from brooklyn, NY, and I was wondering about a few things...
#1 - I've seen on quite a few posts, that MF is not running all the trains, and that MF is running slow and/or not as great as usual. What should I expect from MF????
#2 - Many have said that Blue Streak is running great this year, anyone agree or disagree??
#3- I've actually seen that Mean Streak is running well, and is actually a good ride...I hated it last year, should I give it another shot??
#4 - Is Mantis rougher than last year, because I enjoyed it?
#5 - I've seen nothing but good things about Wicked Twister, but what seat(or seats) should I be sure to sit in???
And Oh, by the way, Im making my first visit to SFWOA, any comments about that park??? |

| | | #1. Don't know about this year, but early in the year this year it was running slower due to improperly broken in wheels, should be better by now I think.
#2. Blue Streak has always been running good. It is a very good woodie, and if you're lucky, go on later and you may get a ride by yourself seeing that it isn't very popular at all.
#3. Even if you hated Mean Streak last year, you should always give a coaster another chance.
#4. I don't know much about Mantis, but if you liked it last year, it can't be too much worse this year.
#5. I think back seat would be best on WT. You would get a nice straight down view of the beach, Lake Erie, or maybe one of the hotels, depending on exactly where WT is positioned.
Hope this helped.

| | | Millennium Force almost always has all three trains running, especially now that the season is well underway, Blue Streak seems about the same but it was REALLY lifting me out of the seat when i just rode it last tuesday, Mean Streak is considerably smoother but it no longer has the furious speed it used to have back in the day, Mantis is just fine by my standards but it cud use a new coat of paint, and WIcked Twister BACK SEAT, AND THAT ONLY!!!!! The front is good but it cant compare to the unusal sensation of twisting while soaring up backwards, and the wait for the ride is no longer than a half hour so ull get upwards of 5 rides on it in one day.

| | | Re: A few CP questions... 1. MF seems to be running back to normal. The weather is warmer and the bearings are more broken in, so nothing unusual to report there.
2. Blue Streak is running GREAT! They added some vertical supports called "stompers" at the bottoms of the hills. This allows the train to maintain more kinetic energy, rather than transfer it to the track. There are stronger moments of airtime and laterals than there was last year. They also repainted it so it looks sweet, too.
3. Mean Streak is Mean Streak. If the trims aren't on (RARE) then it's a mediocre ride. If it's normal and the drop trims are on, then it's bad bad bad...still bad.
4. Well, for awhile, they were running it without the first drop trim, and it was great, but they re-activated it so now it's pretty much the same as last year.
5. Back Seat ONLY! You can choose to wait for the back or front seat, other than that, it's first come first serve, one train at a time. The back seat is mind-blowing...you can try other seats if you have time, but if you're only going to ride once, "get screwed in the rear"...get it...screw is a spiral..like the vertical portions of the ride, and you're in the rear? <rimshot!>
6. Have an open mind at SFWoA. A lot of people bash it, but odn't let their experience ruin it for you...decide on your own.

| | | CP's take on the whole "Line Skipping" system is called FreeWay. First off, it's FREE! Secondly it is only available on Wicked Twister and Millennium Force. How does it work? You go to the little "FreeWay" stand in front of the ride and get your hand stamped for a specific hour. Anytime during that hour, you may enter the line at a designated point...about 10-15 minutes away from riding the ride. It's free, but limited, but def. worth the effort. One thing, GET YOUR HAND STAMPED EARLY! They limit it to about 10% of the hourly capacity per hour block, so that's about 100-120 people per hour block so it goes quick! Have fun next weekend!

the only place to set, or two places to set, would be the next to last row right side or the 4th to last row right side... this way when the train is turned on the spike, the row in front of you won't be blocking your view!
enjoy!
ps the next to last row's right seat is dubbed the "AFLAC" seat thanks to my friend Brian "AFLAC" F.
