This day is pretty great for me. This day was Deaf Awareness Day so I got in for $27. Yes, I am deaf. Anyway, here's my TR.
Got to the park at 10 30 am. Theres huge crowds at the gate. I was worried that i wouldnt hit all the coasters with the size of the crowds.
Shockwave- 8/10- train 2, car 2,front right seat- Nice ride for a Togo. Was glad that my knees and my privates didnt get injured. Quite smooth for the most part, but hated the last turnaround...it was performed too quickly, causing my shoulders to hit the restraints. (at least my right shoulder didnt crack like it did on Togo's Windjammer)
Triple Spin- 9/10- a nice new flat ride, was able to survive the ride without getting a vertigo attack. Quite enjoyable..not too fast and not too forceful like most spinning flats.
Hypersonic- 0/10- closed and two trains have been running through test runs. one train had water dummies and the other one didnt. Both did not have headrests attached on yet. the ride has been testing very well without backrolling or the computer fritzing out.
Richoect- 10/10 - car 7, front right seat- what a FUN mouse! i never had a good time on a mouse like i did on this one! fun drops and got pops of airtime, too!
Hurler- 9.5/10- train 1, rear car- rear right seat- Fast and furious wood! love the speed of this one, especially on the banked turns! lost a half point for an uncomfortable moment at the bottom of one valley for "popping" my spine in a chain reaction.
Grizzly- 10/10- red train, rear car, rear left seat - my fourth favorite wood on my wood list. Loved the roughness and the tunnel. got a reride without getting off!
Rebel Yell (backwards)- 10/10- red train, lead car, front right seat-
incredible airtime! my ridemate got terrified..he felt that he was gonna ejected from his seat when we went down the first drop since we were the last ones to go over. our train won the race!
Rebel Yell (normal)- 9.5/10- red train, rear car, rear left seat- the same thing as the backwards side, but this time I got the ejector air, not my ridemate. That was quite scary to experience! my knees went past the safety of the lapbar, but fortuately for me, the train started to climb and my seat caught up to my butt!
Scooby Doo Ghost Coaster- 8/10- train 1, rear car, rear left seat- love this kiddy wood so much..it gives excellent airtime. Wish this was longer and a bit taller, but gotta keep it short in both respects for them kiddies!
Avalanche- 7/10 - train 2, Swiss bobcar - Fun bobsled coaster. Wish it was taller, faster, longer, and INDOORS!
Volcano- 9/10 - train 3, rear car, rear right seat- love the double launch and the vertical upward track into the minicorkscrew out of the mountain! the barrel rolls were done beautifully! lost a point due to slow ride crew. Had the longest and slowest line of the entire park.
Anaconda- 10/10 - train 1, rear car, rear left seat- Smoother than normal, even through the odd element after the MCBB. Loved the hangtime in the corkscrews. The dive into the "underwater" section has to be my second favorite drop after X's flip and "skydive" drop!
Flight of Fear- 10/10- train ??, lead car, front left seat- Put my hands up during the launch - what a new experience! Kept my hands up through the entire ride! This is my favorite launcher, and the MCBB wasnt on- we blew through that brake and the turns and the corkscrew was AMAZING with the speed! We quite slammed into the end brakes, causing a temporary breakdown.
Graveyard Shift- 10/10 - show at the Paramount theatre- nice music and the dancing was pretty good. i was actually entertained since there was an interpreter to sign the words to the music and the dialouge from the cast. the cast was great.
Meteor Attack- 4/10- a lame motion sim ride! didnt get the point of the story. it was confusing at best. the movements were jerky...and my feet kept hitting the floor, distracting me from the lame movie. Bring back Smash Factory!
7th Portal- 8/10 - better than Meteor Attack. but my feet still hits the floor! solid and understandable story. love the 3d effects!
Left the park at 7 30 pm. I got to hit all the rides I wanted with the exception of Hypersonic, which will be ready to go on June 7th, 2002.
