SFGAm on 6/1/02, overall pretty good I went to SFGAm after work on this last Saturday. I got off of work at 5pm and got out there by 6pm. This was the first time I was able to get out to the park this year, so of course you want to especially have a good time. When we first got the park, we went to get our passes processed and I got my parking pass also, this took about twenty minutes. After that we decided to ride American eagle..... sdrawkcab... opps excuse me I meant backwards. It was mine and my two freinds first time riding it backwards. It was a good ride, kinda cool going up the lifthill backwards and not knowing exactly when you would get airtime. After American Eagle, we walked to ShockWave, we weren't sure what we could ride becuase one of my friends is on the heavy side. It was sort of a pain becuase he can't ride coaster with connecting seatbelts like V2, Batman and etc, etc. Shockwave was ok for him, the ride was a walk-on. It was a little rough like usual, but I don't want every coaster to take it easy on me. After that was a short break to grab a bite to eat. We then went to the test seat of Raging Bull, my friend fit in ok, so we entered the line. It wasn't too bad of a wait, the were doing about 10 minutes of empty runs for some reason, some people left the line. It was only about a half hour wait. Most lines at the park seemed to be pretty good while we were there (6pm-9pm) Even V2 looked like the line might only be about 45 minutes or so at that time. Raging Bull was great, it was my big friend's first time on it, he liked it too. We made a short trip to Viper next door and got some great air on it as always. Made the looooong trip through Viper's exit (does Viper have the longest exit path on earth or what?) It was 8:45 now and I thought we would try to make it to the line for V2 by closing at 9pm. I wasn't sure if my friend would fit but it was only fair that I get to ride V2, we rode the main coasters he could get on, afterall he asked if he could go and was originally planning on not going on any coasters anyway. When we got to V2 at 8:55, they had already closed the line and it looked as if the line had been closed for a while becuase only about half the line was full. that got me sort of mad, but hey it it Six flags afterall. My only other major complaint... Deja Vu was still not running, it was testing a lot of the time I was there. There was even a sign saying that it would not open that day. I haven't been able to go online as much lately, so i'm not sure offhand, but has Deja Vu even ran this year at Great America?
The day overall considering we were only there for three hours gets a 7. The good: lines were relativly short, both sides of AE were running, V2 seemed to have no problems. The bad: the park was messy, very messy in AE's line and Deja Vu was down and the closed V2's line early, maybe as much as a half hour early in my estimation. Thanks for reading, any comments?
