I arrived Sunday at 6 and planned to stay untli closing and was there opening until 6 Monday. The park was much nicer than I thought it would be and the most beautiful park outside of disney ones. It ended up being my second favorite park to Cedar Point.

Son Of Beast

Two words come to mind after riding SOB overrated and ouch. The first drop was nothing special and neither were the two helixes. The loop was the only really standout part of the only standout part of the ride. The ride was rough all along and I got elbowed in the head by the guy next to me. The seat was also really uncomfortable for someone with larger legs.

Top Gun
Rating 6 Wait 5 Minutes
A lot of fun while it lasted. It felt very powerful and swooped very close to SOB and the trees. Pretty smooth and much more enjoyable than Iron Dragon. If it were longer it would have been a great ride.

Face Off
Rating 8 Wait 10 Minutes
A very surprising ride. I went on thinking at least it will add to my count and came off thinking it was a great ride. Very smooth(did I just call a vekoma smooth) and great going through the boomerang backwards. It was also funny watching the people across from you get scared.

Adventure Express

Finally a good mine train. Arrow got it right on this one. The theming was great and the second lift hill scared my little sister because she thought another drop was coming. If it would not have been so rough it would have gotten an eight.

Racer Backwards

I just don't really like going backwards on a wooden coaster. It was smooth and offered some good air but would have been better if it was going forwards. The long straight away was very puzzling just like MF's after the bunny hill.

Racer Forwards

Why was this side so darn rough. It would have been great if I didn't come off the ride feeling beatup. I don't understand how the backwards side was smooth and this side so rough.

Flight Of Fear

After riding in the front seat I could not understand why they would need to take the OTSR's off. It was smooth and very powerful. It was a little to light in the building though. The back seat on the other hand was very jerky, but tolerable in the lapbar(not in the OTSR's most likely). I preferred the front to the back.

Vortex
Rating 6 Wait 10 Minutes
Smooth compared to shockwave but rough under normal circumstances.
It sacrificed some intensity for the smoothness though as the double loop was pretty weak. The saving grace though was the two great hanging corkscrews I liked these much more than B&M when you fly through them.

Beast at Night
Raing 10 Wait 20 Minutes
OMG easily my number one coaster. I could not see anything because I waited til 9:30. The first drop was great and I didn't feel the brakes at all on the second hill. The turns were great and it felt like I was going to fly out. The brake shed didn't slow the ride the much and the tunnel was great, I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. We got way up the second chain and arrived at the top quickly. The drop into the helix was great and the helix itself was absolutely insane. This is easily the best finish to any coaster in the world. The ride was definetely the best I'd been on.

Beast during the Day

The same ride just not as great in daylight.

A great kiddie coaster and worth waiting for even if you don't care about your count.

Runaway Reptar

Interesting concept but flawed design. Too rough for children and needs another train to become more efficient.

Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster
Rating 2 Wait 20 Minutes
Ouch no male should be subjected to the pain of these brakes. Overbraked and painful.

Tomb Raider
Rating 7 Wait 30 Minutes
Too short and not quite intense enough. The theming was the best on probably any ride. I would have liked more flips.

Flying Eagles
Rating 9 Wait Varied
I went on this ride 4 times and never got tired of it. I became very good at it the second time and started to hit the trees almost every pass.

Drop Zone

Best drop ride. Enough Said

I know what you mean about Son of Beast. When it first opened. (I was there opening day and on the first train of the genreal public) It was much smoother then it is now. PKI then was making changes to the ride from about another 3-4 weeks to make it "smoother" all it has done has made it mutch rougher. I have ridden SOB about 125 times so I belive I have gotten use to it over time.
