Cedar Point 10/27 Closing Day

Well its been a while since Ive been to CP. Last time I saw Dragster, it was just 3 footers and a tarp. So might as well get end my Amusement Parks Odessey of 2002 at CP.

Dragster- Well this coaster is exactly the way it appears in the virtual midway pics. Now it has the return slope connected to the brake run. One thing i did notice that I had not before was the back spine of the main yellow supports is tilting inwards. This could only mean that the tophat is going to be built soon. I seriously doubt this coaster will brake 250ft. Also I thought the launch portion was going to be all white, but I saw another piece of track that was red connected to white, so the launch slope might alternate between red and white. The track in the parking lot is getting low. Id say they make one more level and that will about do it, unless more supports come in. Regardless this still looks to be a good coaster. I still think it will be the fastest and will silence all screams with its launch. And braking after going atleast 75 will be interesting. Hey any coaster is fine by me.

Magnum- Same old, same old. Nothin new here except i think offically this coaster is orange. I rode back row once and look behind me the whole way and you really can appreiate the drop as you see it grow from underneath you. O and some guy started laughing in the station and fell down and was shaking.

Disaster Transport- Well I couldnt find a beachball to through in front of it so a lazer pointer was all that could be worked with. Nothing new here except the ride felt faster than before. And the lady still doesnt check your lapbar and you can stand up if you want to. And one time i was in line and it broke down because of mechanic problems or people throwing things or bodies in front of the car

Wicked Twister- Ahhhhhhhhhh this coaster can get cold especially so close to the water. Back row and this time i could really compare it to SUE. The Launch is 10 times better even with the countdown. But it needs to go farther up the towers.

Schbinshin- Well i got one last ride on this ride before it was gone. The ride was interesting, but i much rather see some flying scooters replace it. The music they played on it made me wish I wasnt born of hate crimes. And it made my friend cough up blood. Seriously. No Seriously

Mean Streak- HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAA. Well this coaster is still the same with the squeaky wheels and trimmed top and rough pattern, but what can you do. But the main point of interest is when your going onto the lift hill, you feel almost an earthquake. I didnt even see it coming. And it hurt badly. Everyone moaned in pain after it happened.

Gemini- Same thing. They only ran one train since there was hardly anyone in line. It was only good to check out Dragster and the parts in the parking lot.

Mine Ride- Same. i was suprized to see some old people riding it. They looked about 80.

Blue Streak-Same

Raptor- same and a guy in the station with a squeaky voice

Woodstocks Express- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Finally I have ridden all the coasters at CP. I thought you had to have a small child to go on this ride, but no. The lady looked at my friend and I weird, but its all for the sake of coaster count. A lot better than i thought it would be, heavy banking. One of the better Vekomas ive been on.

Millennium Force- I got 2 rides on this. First time i went back row. Hands up and you are in airtime ejector seat. Front row at night was beyond any word to describe something great. The lights make the ride even more enjoyable. It was like looking into the face of God and see Him smile and say "You are my most wonderous creation" AND THEY GOT THE SONG BACK!!!
It goes Duda duda dudaduda
but they also now have a remix that kick flags that goes
nu nanu nununu nanu and so on...

Mantis-HERE IS YOUR BREAD AND BUDDER. Front row looking over the lights was awesome. So you get ready to go down the hill. You descend, and you see that evil trim. But then, out of six flags nowhere. The beetch isnt on. WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE. I have never ridden Mantis with no trim. I couldnt believe was what happening. It was a dream. I was shaking. Suddenly a speed come over me that i had never experianced before. More Gs. You fly through the loop and the dive loop. Everything has so much more speed and Gs become perfect. After the midcourse breaks though its still rough. But wow. You do not know Mantis, until you ride it without the trims and front row.

Monsters at night werent as good as WOA. It was sad to see kids enjoying and dancing with the monsters instead of running from them and falling like at Six Flags.

But we can only wait to see what Cedar Point will bring to us next year. What adventures will we encounter. Dont be judgemental of rides until you ride them. Cedar Point is building for the Future....

Interesting post but I disagree with one thing. You think the new coaster will only be 250ft? From the one web cam, it looks like the track is already about 175ft currently and still hasn't reached 90degrees. Also from looking at the structure, you can see connectors where the track will most likely go and it is at a vertical 90 at about 250-300ft in the air. This would mean it would have to be at least 300ft tall. I'm thinking it will be about 350ft tall when all is said and done.
