Thumbs up WB movie world - MADRID 1+2/11/02

The best theme park in Europe?
Well...it just might be.
The looks and "feel" of the place is really great.just like in Disney parks.
Everything is themed and looks just like scenes from a movie.
Each zone has it's own look and sound-the music really adds to the atmosphire and surrounds you wherever you walk.
I spent 2 days at the park and had a realy great time.

The first thing you'll notice after getting off the train station and into the parking lot are the 3 giant s&s towers (100 meter tall) with the big WB logo on top of them - truely an impressive image.
At my first day the morning was really fogy so we couldn't see the top of these towers...it was quite spooky

after getting in through the big arch entrence we rushed towards "superman".
This florless coaster is one of the best i have ridened. It’s very smooth and had lots of invertions and droops with great paste throughout the whole ride.
The air time at the first drop is awsom - almost like oblivion's at alton (if you seat at the back) - you just float all the way threw it.the giant tall loop that follows is also great.and so does all other elements right till the end. One of the best steal coaster ever!
We did some 4 or 5 rides (they even let us stay on for a next run some times-something un heard off to me...) and walked off happy towards the "s&s" shoot towers.
These used to do a "combo" shot and drop sequence, but for some reason reduced the cycle to just shot up and fall down like all other shot towers - realy dissapointing .
The 3 towers work just like all others you have seen - they are a bit more impressive to look at than riding...eventhough the view from up there is great!

We moved on to do "wild wild wes" woodie - a big beautifull stracture and a greal looking station.the long train has "open sides" seats and they do have an extra seat belt you must put on-not really sure why cus' this ride lucks air time even at the back.it's fast, but all turns are bent to the side and the air time is killed.
If you look for airtime on woodies - go to Blackpool!

then it was time for "stunt fall" ("deja - vu" clone..) - which was surprisnigly operating that weekend - after a lot of problems during the season.
This ride has insane airtime if you seat at the back!
This ride is FAST .- the train just zoooms through the station when it drops - the big and high boomerang and loop makes you loose oriantation and your breath will get short when viewing the end of the rail aproaching you when seating at the front and moving up the 2nd tower.the ride back in revers did gave us a BIG headace though, and we went off the ride with head spining like theres no tomorow.

The "batman" coaster is yet another clone of the all-famous inverted seat coasters - this one is very very fast and tight (a bit like "nemesis" in Alton towers). The line is long and themed and the whole castle in the middle of the ride\station is really nice.

There is a lot more to this park than these big rides:
"rio bravo" was a great water ride (with a surprising air-time back drop)
the "rapid canyon" type ride at the kids zone was very fast and had loads of turning around threw it.
There are many flats ride for the kids and movie oriented activitis (3-D movies, sfx shows etc.)

Over all the lines were not 2 long - the longest was about 45 min to superman in the evenings.

The worst lines are at the resturant-avoid eating at rush hours at all cost.
The biggest problem though is that NO ONE speaks english!
Youll have to use every wierd way you can find to explain people what you want .
(No ones means that they won't know english at the front desk, ticket booth, resturants, and all movies and shows are Spanish spoken only! - not for the kids and tourists...)

if you have no money to go all the way to Florida - these allternative is great.

gil,
israel

Sounds great! That park has true potential. I hope Six Flags doesn't start neglecting it like some of their other parks.
