Quick Trip To BGT

Since school starts tomorrow, my family wanted to do something fun. My sisters, mom and dad went to the Tampa Zoo (and had a ton of fun) Saturday, and my buddy from school drove us to BGT. We got there about 12:00 (Passes) and we headed straight to Gwazi for a front seat ride on Lion.

We were the next ones to get on when they stopped running Lion because a seat was broken. The whole Lion queue went over Tiger and it was just me, Chris (buddy) and some other select few. We waited about 10 minutes and then the maintenence guy finally showed up and fixed it, so we got on. I've heard the ride got rougher, but I can't notice it that much.

Yeah, they are not making an effort to duel the coasters anymore. I really didn't mind that, it just makes dispatch times faster.

We ended up taking about 5 rides on each track, front, back, middle anywhere (crowds were minimal). The second time we came back, one train had a belt broken on Tiger, and so they only loaded people on every OTHER train, so it became a hastle. We did eventually get on after waiting for 6 trains instead of 3.

We did Montu as well, and got about 5 rides in all over the train. When we got over there, the train was stopped on the lift and some employees were walking the platform. Not sure what they were doing, but then the siren went signaling to clear the lift and lower track areas and it started up again.

We then headed over to Kumba on the way there eating at the Festhaus. We also ended up doing Kumba about 5 times in the front, middle and back. The back is the single most intense experience I've ever had on a coaster! The G's were incredible. The corkscrews were a little rough, but I've grown to brace for them.

We also did the bumper cars, log flume and some more coasters (except Python ).

We left about 6, after eating 3 bucks worth of Swedish Fish ($3 for 1/4 a pound, $8 for 1 pound!!!!)

We then headed back to Lakeland, preparing for another work-filled semester.
