| | | Fuji Q Highland Well Im back from Fuji Q, and man oh man oh man oh man oh man!
Fist of Fuji Yama - waited about 10 minutes, becouse they were running one train, and loading very very very slow. Any who so I sat 2nd row the first go, Which was fine since the was to be my first roller coaster over 200 ft. So up we went, and man do you go up and up and up. So The first 3 hills are great, then the turn around kills painfully, then smile for the camera, another hill fallowed by mostly pain after that, but teh 2nd tiem i learned how to lean and avoid some of the pain. So This was a good ride.
Next the all mighty
DODONPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This easily hops into my top list.
Minus the chanting of DO-DON-PA in the station.... gets annoying...
But yeah so you sit down in you sseat buckle up and get comfy, which is pretty easy except when your thinking about the launch coming up.
So, Around the corner you go into the tunnel and you can see the launch system laying out before you, and hear the air beggining to compress. *at this time i was yelling obsinities out of pure horror of what was to come, but they where filled with joy since i knew Id love it*
So then the Chanting begins again, and is quite loud. Then it stops and lights start twirling. And this is were you take your last breath or what not. couse then a loud happy voice goes " LAUNCH TIME!!! 3, 2, 1 *your gone* DODONPA* The force of the launch is amazing. Your plastered to your seat, and before you can see again, you are going down teh 0 G hill. Out of your seat, all the way. Then you go up into the huge banked curve, which is massive, It gets a little rough on that spot but still not too bad. Then its into the tunnel and up the tower, The G`s going up are pretty fun, and the negative G`s on the top are awsome, completely out of your seat, Im soo glad those restraints are there, then its down, and remeber to wave to the people on the bridge, Then its slow down a little up the hill and smile for the camera and into the breaks. And I must say that this coaster has the loudest Sound Ive ever heard, sounds like a Jet, its great. I road it a total of 3 times for the day.
The other fun Coaster was their Mad Mouse, its very unique and I sugest riding it if you go.
They have a double looping coaster too, but that one is teh devil, it totally kills your head.
bird men is still up and standing, I wish theyd do something to open it, it looks soo fun.
And sadly their Haunted house was closed, Its themed has a hospital and is a huge building, Apparently its extremely freaky, but darn it was closed.
So yeah, over all the best thing and thing worth going to this park for is, Dodonpa. |

| | | Birdmen's been closed for a couple years because there was a train collision and a man or two died. Now it's just SBNO. Too bad about the haunted hospital thing. It's the longest dark ride/walk-through in the world. I think it takes something like 45 minutes to walk through it. Glad you liked Dodonpa. That coaster looks cool. I have heard it was a smooth Togo, but I guess it has it rough spots. It can't be as bad as the ones in the US (So I hear. I've only ridden King Cobra). Nice trip report. I enjoy reading ones from overseas.

| | OH photos, Uhh Yeah I took a few, not too many. let me dig up the link. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/nstjss
There you go, 23 photos.
Ahh but if you break down the 2 launches, on Dodonpa you essentially excellerate 53.5 MPH in .9 seconds. And for Ceder Points youll only go about 30 MPH fro each second, So if you are a launch buff, technically Dodonpa will have the better launch. But in spite of all that, we dont know how fast Cederpoints will make it over that hill, So you dont know which will have better G`s Etc. But I will gladly say both coasters will have their plusses and their Minuses.
Yeah the Haunted house was closed, Hopefully not for good, but you dont know. And I could imagine it takes 45 minutes to go threw, and I know who go threw most of it, if not all ALONE! So yeah, the building was huge, so who knows. Maybe they just dont have enough crowds in winter to higher all the people it takes to run it...
As for that evil evil Double Looper, Its pretty bad, I think maybe the smoothers part was the lift, and that still wasnt extremely good.... |

Pathetic. He got so tired, he is way out of shape. That match sucked.
Anyway, good trip report. I always like reading about overseas parks that a lot of us don't get a chance to go to.

| | | Dodonpa is quite a sight, and same goes for hearing it... Its just one freaking huge Jet LOL. Any ways, That ferris wheel is nothing special at all... But if you want a good view of the park *and especially the Dodonpa TOwer* Its worth sitting on, I mean you get to teh top adn you stare to your Right, and theres the top of dodonpa`s hill like 20 ft away, its great hehee. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
