Visiting Carowinds or Dollywood

I am planning on going to the east tennesee are for the summer for a couple a days and would like to go to a theme park and have found that dollywood and carowinds are relatively close and would like to know which one to visit. Carowinds has more attractions and looks like better rides but is a little bit out of the way. Which park should i go too and what are the must rides at that park.
Thx

Carowinds Or Dollywood, wow that an easy one "Carowinds" of course and i'am not saying that because it's my home park but because you would have much more fun there, trust me it's worth the extra drive.
As for what to ride first thats another easy one, TOP GUN. Possibly the best ride at carowinds and after that just hit the coaster in order.
Next would be Thunder road but ride both fowards & backwords and i know it's a kids coaster but it adds to you coaster count but ride Rugrats runaway reptar.
But the must rides at carowinds would have to be Top Gun, Vortex, Hurler, Thunder Road, Carolina Cyclone, Drop Zone.

Ricochet is pretty fun but PKD's is way much better.

Well between those two parks, it would have to be Carowinds. But you might want to check out http://www.rcdb.com/ if you look up Dollywood, and then click on the link that says "parks nearby" it will tell you the closest parks to Dollywood, or wherever you will be.

Dollywood is a nice family park, and very beautiful. But they only have 2 coasters, and one of those is a water coaster. I loved Tenn. Tornado, but that's really their only coaster.

I live in Charlotte, so I've been to PC more times than I want to remember.

And yeah, Ricochet is much better at PKD, but you take what you can get I guess lol.

Don't be in such a hurry to get to the park, chances are nothing will be open till 11:30 anyway.
The only reason i say that is because every time i have gone to SFOG (6 times) The park opened at 10 and nothing in the park opened until after 11 No shops, restruants and no coasters, Just why oh why do they do this, i guess well never know.

But anyway once everything does open you'll have a blast it's a very very fun park with some of the greatest coasters. I would suggest getting one of those cute little Q-Bot things to save time waiting in the crazy lines they have but if your wanting a front seat on every coaster then forget the Q-bot and just wait.

Thats about all the tips i have, don't know much about hotels since i never stay, i just drive down for the day. Hope that helps a bit.
