Cool SFDL 6/20 and 6/22

Sweetness. I went to DL for my birthday with my friends on the 20th and with my g/f and her family on the 22nd. The lines were incredibly short for being the beginning of summer, plus the Dave Matthews Band had a concert on the 20th – you would expect many more people.

Coasters:

Rating (of 10)

The Predator (3 Times – twice on the 20th)
4/10
Between 5 and 10 mins.
The first time we rode near the back and didn’t feel any pain. I would have given this a higher rating if all the rides were like this. There is a little airtime, but overall it’s a simple woodie and there’s nothing really special about it. I don’t know what happened the 2nd ride on Friday or the ride on Sunday, but we really felt the jackhammer effect and it was really awful.

Superman: Ride of Steel (4 Times – 3 on Friday)
9/10
Between 5 and 20 mins.
Wow. Amazing first drop, and it’s not just a one-trick pony; there is awesome speed and godly airtime, especially on the 3rd hill. The line was always somewhat short and I didn’t get a single bad ride. The most awesome thing is definitely the airtime, you might go the whole 2nd or 3rd hill without touching the seat if you can play with the lapbar so it doesn’t get locked down all the way .

Boomerang: Coast to Coaster (2 Times – once each day)
5.5/10
Give or take 5 mins.
Just a mediocre ‘rang. Really nothing special here, save a ride on it though, there isn’t really much wrong with it.

Viper (3 Times – twice on Friday)
6/10
Between 5 and 15 mins.
Your average Arrow Looper, but give it credit for not giving you a headache and for having a somewhat original layout (It was the first “Viper” and the first ever coaster with 5 inversions).

Mind Eraser (2 Times – both on Friday)
6/10
Walk-On
It’s not half as bad as people say it is, especially for a “hang-n-bang” clone. Just don’t sit in the very back and keep your head back at ALL TIMES and it’s a fairly good ride. NOTE: My g/f wouldn’t ride because she said the banging hurt her cartilage piercing. That’s why I didn’t ride Sunday.

That’s all she wrote concerning coasters. SFDL also has a few good...
Flat Rides:

Ride (Times Ridden)
Rating (of 5)
Line Length
Review

Haymaker (Once on Sunday)
1/5
1 Go-around
Yawn.

Pirate (Once on Friday)
2/5
Walk-On
Arg matey, she be a might bit boring and just like any other Swingin’ Ship. There she blows. Literally.

Bumper Cars (Dunno what they’re called) (Once on Friday)
1/5
5 – 10 mins.
A long wait for a sucky One-way bumper car ride that lasts about a minute and a half. La-de-da.

Ranger (Once on Sunday)
2.5/5
Walk-On
Nothing special about this inverter swinging ship, but fun nonetheless.

Tin Lizzy’s (Once on Sunday)
1.5/5
10 – 15 min.
The wait is always way too long, but it’s pretty fun, especially watching my g/f try to drive...

Twister (2 times – one each day)
4/5
Walk-On
No wait for an awesome Huss Top Spin. It’s very dissorienting and overall really fun. Make time for it at least once, but not after you eat.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Cool I'M BACK...

Sorry for the lack of continuation I forgot I left this here. Anyways...

It wasn't too hot out Friday but my friends insisted on getting wet, and we all wanted to cool off Sunday on the...

Water Rides

Ride (Times Ridden)
Rating (Fun, of 5) | (Wetness, of 5)
Line Length
Review

Grizzly Run (2 Times, both on Friday)
2.5/5 | 3/5
Walk-on
They didn't have any waterfalls on, only one spout and some water cascading out a pipe and that was it, but chances are for you getting wet, if not drenched. The ops were really nice on this ride and let us cycle around again if we pleased (If you consider that nice in 65 degree weather)

Poland Springs Plunge (Once on Friday)
1.5/5 | 1/5
Walk-On
Original name, huh? The ride is boring and you don't get wet at all, so why waste a good name on it?

Shipwreck Falls (3 Times, twice on Friday)
3/5 | 4.5/5
Last year's ever so hyped Shipwreck Falls is back with a vengence. For being a regular ol' whatever-it's-called water ride, it's pretty fun, plus you will not get off dry at all. There are also the guysers that can get you more wet if your friends please. The op was nice and let everyone go through as many times as they wanted on Friday due to the lack of a line.

Other Attractions:

Mountain View Golf
A nothing-special mini golf course that was unkept, overpriced, and not very enjoyable.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE:

Coasters: 6.1/10
Flat Rides: 4/10
Water Rides: 5.2/10
Food: 5/10
Cleanliness: 5.5/10
Guest Conduct (10=Really Good, 1=awful): 8.5/10
Staff Friendliness: 8/10
Staff Knowledge: 7.5/10
Water Park: N/A (They have a fairly large one but I didn't go in at all.)
Resort/Camping: N/A (I have never been to the resort or gone RV'ing here)
PARK RATING: 62.25/100

Sounds like nothing has changed. S:RoS is SFDL. Everything else at the park is ho-hum. At least S:RoS is an amazing ride, it gives me a reason to go back there.
