There's a mall, with a movie theater in back.
You could stay at hotel Breakers and lay on the beach or the pool. There's a few bars, lots of restaurants. When you go to Sandusky, it's for CP. Inside the park itself, they have lots of family rides, like the train, and ferris wheel. There's lot's of stuff to look at on Frontier trail which leads to the back of the park.

They isn't much to do other than the mall and movie theater robvia mentioned. You could spend a day at the indoor waterpark at Great Bear Lodge.

That Great Bear Lodge is so expensive it's alot cheaper to stay at Holiday Inn and go to Soak City. And if you stay at Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express, you get to go to the Holidome and play mini golf, go swimming, go to the bar, play ping pong, pool, or play arcade games (and I hold the #1 high score on the Simpsons bowling game ) but there's alot more to Sandusky like the Mini golf places and alot of go kart places.

Sandusky is basically a craphole.

The only other thing besides Cedar Point that looks worthwhile is the Great Bear Lodge...but as it's been said it's really expensive.

You can go to Put-in-Bay, a small island close to Sandusky. Not sure what it costs, but you take a ferry to get there.

Meijer is close by. Grocery/department store open 24/7 for those late night munchy needs or late night itchy needs.

How is the Sandusky Mall, is it big, and do they have good stores?

Skip the mall. Skip Meijers. Skip Sandusky. Drive an hour to Cleveland and Go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Last year we saw the Beatles exhibit and it was pretty cool. This year the Beatles are gone and they have U2.

Yep, Tommy Boy did take place in Sandusky, but they hardly mention the park.
