me, my frend, and my mom left for my aunt's house in coldwater, MI at about 8 in the morning. We arrived there around 10 and stayed to talk for a while with some visting family and play with sum home made play-doh. We didnt stay for long, because me and my frend had other plans, Fun Spot in Angola, IN, 20 minutes away from coldwater. We arrived at the park at a little after 12 pm, which is when the park opens.
I got my 1/2 price ACE discount and marcus paid full price, and we were off to the 2 major coasters, conveniently loated next to eachother. We decided to ride the smaller one first, simply called Zyklon.
Zyklon - This is not your average zyklon coaster, for one, it has sholder harnesses, two, the layout is somewhat unique from anything I've seen, and three, it is smooooth. I asked a worker at the park, who happened to be an ACE member, why zyklon had the sholder restraints. It has them because Zyklon is a pinfari zyklon that used to have a loop. When the park bought the coaster, they removed it. To keep liability costs down they didnt change the safety system. I feared that this ride would be horribly rough, but I was surprised by its smooth ride. Never touched that harness once. The ride is a bit slow, but the first drop has a nice feeling to it. It was worth another re-ride. 5/10
Afterburner - This is the park's big one. This is the coaster that makes local kids cry out with tears, or cry out in delight. This was my first time ever on an arrow launched loop.

I wasnt even quite sure how the ride would work. Well, this is it what it does: there is a flat metal device on wheels on the track behind the train in the station. there is a cable connected to it that runs underneath the track to a small motor that is under the track about half way between the station and the drop. The cable is reeled in and that device propels the train forward to about 25 mph. The train drops abruptly and you fly through that loop. It is a really intense 4 g loop. The train then goes up onto the second platform and is brought to a stop, it slowly rolls alll the way to the end of the second platform and stops, right in front of it is another one of those launch devices. But before you are whipped backwards, an attendant in the second platform walks by and checks if the harnesses are still locked properly. The train then speeds away backwards, and here comes my favorite part of the ride if you are sitting in the front seat. You are whipped backwards down the drop and you are weightless falling backwards, your knees rising up in front of you. This part always got me excited enough that i just had to yell out. Afterburner was the first arrow launch loop ever made, and is one of the few remaining in operation. The ride is slightly rough like any older arrow coaster, but the great air time, and powerful G's more than make up for it. This is one of my favorite arrow coasters that ive ridden so far.

Safari Kiddie Coaster - This was the last coaster in the park that we rode and we were lucky to get on it. This ride is truly designed for kids, and i really doubt that the ride could withstand the stress of all adults riding it. The first time we asked to ride, the guy said no way you're too big for this, and we walked away in disgust. Later on we thought we could try to give it another shot, because we saw sum adults, heavier than we are, riding with their kids. I approached the ride op and pleaded my case, "come on man, just give me one circuit so i can gett he credit."
"well, ok go ahead" he replied and my frend marcus bolted up to the entrance where i was and hopped in. Well the ride itself will make one worry. This coaster does not look nor feel like it can make it around the track and over its tiny hills, but it does, and the first 4 foot drop will whip u forward if u dont hold on. It's probly an exciting ride for little kids, preparation for Afterburner when they are tall enough to ride.

Park - 7/10 The park doesnt have much to offer, its very very small, and somewhat understaffed, the bayern curve flat ride was closed and the flying scooters weren't operating because of GUSTY WINDS?? what??? But I give the park a high rating because of what they've managed to do with what they have. The staff are all very kind, they will let you marathon on Afterburner as much as you want if no people are waiting to get your seat. The park is very clean, not a piece of trash anywhere but in a litter bin. I bought a shirt from the gift shop which i was very surprised to see the park have, that also boosts the rating, but i didnt just want a regular shirt. I saw in a back room behind the counter that there were shirts that only the Fun Spot staff had, and they were noticably different from the ones on sale. The cashier was hesistant to sell me one but an older staff member said to sell it to me if that is the shirt that i desire. I really like small parks, its a calmer place, the people are friendlier, and the lines are short.
