Cool Worlds of Fun today 7/15/03!!

It has finally come where i must post a trip report about worlds of fun. I went out there with my parents friends, their extremely hot niece, and my sister. Needless to say i had a great time. Going to a theme park with an extremely hot lady is awesome. We arrived around 4:30 in the afternoon to stay until close. Now on to the report....

We walked in and headed straight to viking voyager since it is my tradition to go on VV 1st. About a 2min wait, we got on a floated away. I love this ride it's really fun. After that we headed to:

Boomerang: 7/10
This ride was actually closed today, but i've been on it before. I like vekoma and their boomerangs, although i haven't ridden a SLC. But i will in about a week when i go to SFMW. This ride gave me a neck ache the last time i rode it, but it's all in good fun.

After boomerang we left one of my parent's friends at the Tivoli music hall to see some show. The rest of us headed straight to:

Mamba: 10/10
This ride kicks @$$!!!! It was a pretty much a walk on. We sat in the front, and departed the station. I love the hangtime looking down 205ft. There's also some sweet air over the 2nd hill in the front, and the best head choppers in the turn around i've ever seen. Good air over the camel backs, although it's better in the back seat. So when we got off we rode it again, this time in the back. Awesome! We got whipped right over the 1st hill and floated the whole way down, great stuff!!!!!

We met up with my parent's friend and ate kid's meals at the coasters grill(it's the only way to get a hotdog). Good stuff, although i wish they would give you straws. I'm bringin my own next time dammit. After a quick lunch we went to settle our stomachs on:

Fury of the Nile: 8/10
Standard Intamin river rapids. I think they've made it better this year, more "rapidy." I like the tunnel, and how the geysers completely miss you. There's 5 geysers, and all of them miss you. That's why i docked it 2pts.

Monsoon: 10/10
Fun fun fun ride! I love shoot the chutes, they're so fun! We did this while we were wet and since it was 90* outside without a cloud in the sky. After we got off we did the real ride, the BRIDGE. We got soaked, and headed to dry off on the MAMBA!!!
After another mamba ride, we noticed boomerang was shut down for the day. They wanted to shop so we went to Europa to the little shops they have. We rode the Autoban (bumper cars). I hate the people who do these. They are the most ruthless, blood thirsty people in all the land. That's what makes the autoban so great. We wandered around and decided to do the:

Grand Prix: 6/10
We paid the 7.50 for 2 consecutive rides. The course looked pretty nice, as well as the go karts. I got a piece of crap go kart of course. I changed karts on our 2nd ride and tried to pass my parent's friend's hot niece. But she had a slow kart and was huggin the turns so tight i couldn't pass her!!!!! But i forgave her since she was so fine. Not worth 7.50.

After wasting our money, we went the the:

Timberwolf: 10/10
Definetly the most underrated wooden coaster ever built. Come on people it was the #1 wooden rollercoaster in the world in 1990, and noone ever talks about it!!!!! We walked right on near the back of the train, and headed out for another awesome ride. This coaster has the best feel to it. Perfect shakiness to it. So much air i couldn't stand it!! After we got off, we walked straight into the....

Thunderhawk: 7/10
This is yer standard Huss Top Spin. The fountains were going good, but that didn't matter since i was seated in the farthest seat in the front row. After getting royally racked by the restraints, we did the most backflips i've ever done on this. I got really dizzy. Cool stuff!! Then it stops you and you look straight down, although i had the scariest view: right into the railing to splatter on cement. It gets docked 3pts b/c of the racking and my sucky seat.

Detonator: 10/10
Easily the ride that scares me the most ever. I get so scared on this ride. The anticipation for the launch is unbelievable. I got seated facing the Orient Express. We launched and went way higher than i expected, which always happens. I got thrown up into the shoulder harness. The ride-op was a stoner. He said something to me in stoner, but i just laughed like i understood. Whatever. Good ride!

After getting "detonated," we did some games and i won a stuffed parrot. It was gettin' dark so we did Mamba in the front at night, which was AWESOME. We were saving the best for last. The ultimate night coaster.

Orient Express: 10+/10
I've never been on this at night, and it FRICKIN ROCKED!!!! We sat way way in the back, the best place. We went through the little tunnel and headed up the noisy lift. The drop in the back seat is UNBELIEVABLE. I get that "feeling" in my stomach every time. We plunged into the darkness to rise up into a bumpy helix, and headed through the 1st loop and got whipped through. Then we got pulled down another drop into the 2nd interlocking loop. That's what i love about this coaster in the back seat, you get whipped down drops and through loops all over the place! After the 2nd loop you go right into the "kamikazi Kurve" which is just a fancy WOF name for the boomerange element. After that is when the real ride starts. No more lights, just you and the forest and the helix. PITCH BLACK. You can't see anything until you pull up into the station and head back in the little orient building. GREAT STUFF! We did it again and walked right on. Easily the best coaster there at night. Sweet stuff.

We headed to the exit around 10 and went home. Great night at WOF. I encourage everyone to come to the middle of nowhere and try this park out. The mamba, the orient at night, and the timberwolf are way worth it!!!
Peace out.
