| | | Summer 2004 Roadtrip My friend and I are working on planning a roadtrip from Southern California mainly so that we can visit Cedar Point for our first time. WE have a little less than a month to complete the trip, and out budget is about $3,000. We would also like to make our way down the east coast towards Florida visiting as many parks there as possible. What parks would you suggest that we visit to maximize the amount of thrill rides we can ride in that one month while still being within the budget? Thanks for any help.

| | | Hmmm, Hit Wof, then Head North to CP and GL, then hit south to SfOG, finally finishing your trip at Florida at IOA, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, or Disney World. Dont forget the Tight as Heck Orlando WaterParks. |

| | | I think the east coast might be a bit of a stretch on that budget. Why not go WOF,SFGAm, CP, GL, PKI, SFKK, SFSTl, FC, SFOT, SFAW, SFFT, Cliff's, home. That's kind of a middle America Tour, and with season passes it's affordable. The $3000 is barely going to cover gas, food and lodging, let alone tickets for the Orlando Parks. |

| | | Well you could hit all CF parks except Dorney and hit alot of Six FLags parks too. That's a great trip. How aboutSWSA,SFOT, WOF, SFSTL, ValleyFair, CampSnoopy,Michigan's Adventure, GL,CP,SFGAm, PKI. You get heck of alot outta that. You could buy A WOF season PAss and SFSTL season pass and save alot of money. |

| | | What would be a nice old park to visit that still has a bunch of classic rides? I'm used to the modern theme parks here in California and I would like to see a place with a long history. I think Holiday World sounds like it might be like this.

| | | If you're going to CP and also desire a park with tradition, then you should make the additional 3 hour trip east to Kennywood. Oh, and If you see signs for Geauga Lake....keep right on going. |

| | | Kennywood is well worth it to. They might not have all the big coasters that CP has, but the traditional ones rock as well. |

| | Since it is sort of on the way to the east coast, my home park Adventureland is right off of I-80 in Iowa, and is an excellent large park with tons of rides, and one of the most beautiful parks around. Anyone who goes to Adventureland usually comes away very happy thanks to great rides and some of the nicest employees you'll find anywhere. Check out their website for some of the major ride info by clicking here! Bear in mind it has 3 coasters (technically a 4th which is a dark ride) and 30+ other rides. I like it mroe then some Six Flags parks since it is better managed and has a Disney esque look to it.
The idea of gonig to Kennywood is great too I want to travel there sometime myself, plus make a stop at Six Flags Great America, there is so much to do there! |

| | | Here's a tip...
Camp out (alway's fun) and you'd be surprised just how far a loaf of bread and some peanut butter will carry you (plus some fruit of course). You'll be surprised how much money you'll save by doing it that way. That's how we do it for our trips.
Ahhhh...memories. :d
