Exclamation SFGAm 5/1- TN's first interactive trip report?

I'll be headed to SFGAm in a few minutes and I'll be bringimg my T-Mobile Sidekick with internet connection. So I'll keep anyone updated as the day goes on about anything interesting like Deja Vu for example.

If there is anything anyone wants to know, just ask. I'll be checking back often with updates and any answers to your questions that I can give.

Well I just got here and the park is really empty so far from I can see. It is cold and it is early though. I've already seen that Raging Bull, American Eagle and Superman are running. There was some earthmoving equipment behind the station of Superman, don't know what it was for probably nothing too big. They have poster of the scary old guy from the playtime commercials at the front gate and a few in the park that I've seen so far. I'm getting in the line for Supeman now. The line is really short now. The line doesn't start until where it has the charactors up and you under the first drop. Its funny because last year the line was about an hour and a half, today its probably only about 20 minutes or so. More later. I GOTTA RIDE!!!

Alright, I just passed through the Mardi Gras section on my way to V2. The baloon ride looked almost finished I guess, just some work needed on the queue line. The kiddie ride, I don't really know what its supposed to look like so I'm not sure how much is needed to finish it. Ragun Cajun still seems to need a lot of work. I don't know how long it takes to build a wild mouse, but right now the track is only going up about 10-12 or so. I still say that since this was a small coaster, it should be farther along then it is. I just got to V2 and it was working while I was in line for Superman, but it is down now.

I will now head across over to Batman. The new color weirded me out at first. I just think it is weird since V2 is yellow and also Ragun Cajun is yellow too with green supports. Its the year of yellow with THREE yellow coasters within 100ft pf each other.

There is a marching band from Woodhaven passing through now. I don't know if that is a school in the area or anything, I'm not familair with it. The line for Batman looks short, in fact its almost a walk on right now, excellent!

Just got off Batman after a very short wait. I think that its now faster with the yellow paint ;-)

V2 is already back up and running, so whatever it was, it was obviously very minor. It was probably only down for maybe 15 minutes at the most. I haven't passed by Deja Vu yet, but from what I've seen so far, there is no movement on it. While going up the lift on Batman, I saw Revolution? (Huss ride) working. And from the station of V2, I've seen Iron Wolf and Demon also running. The only coasters I don't know the status of yet is Viper and Whizzer. Let me know if there is anything else that anyone wants to know or me to check out.

Sounds pretty good except for Ragin' Cajun. They should have been able to get that done pretty quickly.

I'm passing by the back of the park now as it is starting lightly drizzle, Iron Wolf had a very short line, but I'm going to go eat and "that". I passed by Revolution:"the ride" yes the sign actually says that. It is down right now for a moment, I know it was running earlier. I had talked to someone in line for V2 that had gone on it, he said it was bad, very boring. A friendly worker at Revolution started up conversation. So I had overheard him talking to someone about a ride being closed for today and will probably be open tomorrow. So when he started up converstion about my phone, asked him what ride that he was talking about...Revolution? He sadi no, that it would be open soon, that he was talking about Deja Vu. So we'll see what happen if anyone goes tomorrow.

I got some food at Angelos Pizza next to V2 and just got my pass processed. And darn it, I fotgot to shave today...oh well. The line wasn't too just now, maybe 10 minutes or so. Headed to Demon and Viper, maybe also Raging Bull depending on time. I plan on catching the Imax movie Top Speed starting 2:30. Demon is a wlak on so I might have a chance to get in Viper and the Bull before 2:30.

p.s. The coupon book includes coupons for buy 2 get 1 fast lane card free, coupons for May 30, and 31 Memorial day, coupons to bring a friend for free on June 27, more coupons for half off from Aug 9-29 and more. It also has a coupon for $15 off on Dare Devil Dive- maybe finally the year I go on it maybe. There are of course assoted food and game coupons in there too.

Exclamation IMPORTANT- news update

I just got off of Viper right now and I was very surprised by something... Viper now has.....seatbelts in addition to the lapbar!!! I couldn't believe it. I'm not persoanlly disappointed by this since it makes me feel safer but I know many enthusiasts will be upset by this. I wouldn't be surprised if the decision to add the seatbelt had something to do with the horrible accident on The Raven last year at Holiday World. I can think of no other reason why after nine seasons they would just now add the belts. The seatbelt is a single belt that extends over both seats. I don't know yet if American Ealge has also gotten the belts but I will find out later.

O ******! 3/4 the fun of Viper is leaving the bar up a notch too high and then flying around everywhere.

The belts weren't too tight, its up to you of course how tight you make it though. Its the first day so things might change but the ride op didn't even check the seatbelt, so if you choose, you could probably leave it very loose.

The phone at I have can cost anywhere from $175-$300, depening on the deal you get. Internet servie is $30 a month, $20 if you also have a phone plan from T-Mobile. It can be slow at times but its not too bad most times but don't expect anything near dsl speeds.

I'm passing Deja Vu by, they had done one test run that I seen getting out of the Imax movie. There is short line formed and I asked the ride op if he knew for sure if it would open, his response "I'm not sure". Its doing another test run right now and everything seems to be ok. So we'll see what happens.
