Since it's getting close to vacation time for most of us, I thought I'd share something that helped me out tremendously when I booked my hotels.
If you use Priceline, like I did, try this website:
www.biddingfortravel.com
It's a cool place to see how much people have bid on hotel rooms in a particular area. By using the information there, I saved a bundle and got a couple of decent hotels for my trip in mid-May.
Here's what I ended up getting:
For Paramount's Great America:
1 Night at a 3-star Doubletree Inn in San Jose, Calif., for $44.95 (Includes the Priceline fee and taxes) on 5/14
For SFMM:
3 Nights at Hyatt Valencia (1.5 miles from the park) for $176.00 (Includes the Priceline fee and taxes) on 5/15-5/18.
Not a bad deal at all. If you use the information on the website you can save yourself a few bucks along the way.
