WDW question

I'm leavin for Orlando in two days, but I dont have enough time to spend a full day at each Disney park, so I plan on going to all 4 in two days (Epcot/MK and AK/MGM). I'm going to buy a two day pass with park hopper, but I need to know if the monorail goes from park to park or if I'll have to take a bus from park to park. I havent been to Disney in years, so I forget about the monorail system.

Plan of attack,
Day 1:
get to Epcot for opening, ride Mission: Space, ride Test Track, get to Magic Kingdom by either bus or monorail, spend rest of day at MK and watch Spectromagic and Wishes at night

Day 2:
get to Animal Kingdom for opening, ride countdown to extinction (i know it's called Dinosaur, but I like coutdown more), ride Primeval Whirl, ride "it's tough to be bug", ride Kilimanjro safari (although I've heard it's been toned down since I last I visited, which was it's opening year), possibly ride Kali River Rapids, get to MGM somehow, spend rest of the day at MGM, watch Fantasmic (or whatever it's called) at night.

It can be done. When i went to Disney last nov i spent 2 days at Disney and did pretty much everything i was intrested in except for Animal Kingdom. I only did Bugs Life, Prievil Whirl & watched the Trazan show then left.

I did the same thing with Epcot. Rode Mission & Test Track then spent the rest of the day at MK. Watched Spectromagic & Wishes.

Day 2 went to MGM & spent most of the day. I did head over to MK for a sec to catch the Main Street Parade then went back to MGM.

Did everything at MGM and even caught Fantasmic.

Wow thats pretty scary. Your doing everything in the same order that i did. Hmmm.

Whatever you do just make sure you see Spectromagic, Wishes & Fantasmic. Those are the must see shows.

I would have had 3 days at Disney but i chose to spend one of those days at Universal & IOA.

Have fun.

I went three days ago, and it was absolutely empty at Magic Kingdom! The longest line was 5 minutes for Space Mountain!

Day 1 is possible as the monorail can be used to travel back and forth between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. However, no service is available to the newest theme parks, MGM Studios or Animal Kingdom. To get to other destinations in Walt Disney World, guests must rely on Disney buses.

Epcot and Magic Kingdom connect by monarail. The others you will have to get a bus.

countdown to extinction was a better name, i agree

i also think that you could do everything in one day there too, i was just there and rode mission space once and test track once in the morning (waited 5 min tops for each), then i went to MK and rode splash mountain (no wait), big thundermountain (only ride with a wait), space mountain 4 times (ride the left side if its open, seems to be darker) and stitchs great escape all in 2-3 hours, then shot down to mgm where i rode RRC 3 times, TOT once with fast pass because one side was closed making a 45 minute wait, then star tours and had time for one more thing before it closed, then epcot is open til 9 (or at least most of future world) and rode mission space twice as well as test track twice, and one of the times on test track i got to go in my own car

monorails go from magic kingdom to epcot and some resorts, we cheated out of paying for parking by parking at coronado springs resort (right by blizzard beach) and said we were visiting someone, parked there all day and caught a bus to epcot, then hopped around on monorails and crap, then at the end of the day caught a bus back to coronado springs after epcot's fireworks (if magic kingdom is open til 8 or even 7, you may wanna go see theirs cause i hear its spectacular, more genious then illuminations at epcot which is amazing....fantasmic is also great at mgm)

almost forgot to tell you i didnt go to animal kingdom, its really nothing special because they have like 2 or 3 good attractions and we were not going to ride the kali river rapids, so i would have ridden like 2 rides and it just seemed pointless (may wanna start your day here instead, to get in and out very quick). we maybe would have gone there if we hadnt started our day late (about 1030 - 11 am)

I've done all four parks in one day. But beleive me, you DO NOT get the same experience. If you want to get the 'magical' feeling, then spend at least one entire day at MK. Then split MGM and Epcot. Forget Animal Kingdom until Everest.

I agree, AK is not worth any time unless you like the zoo.

You have to spend a full day MK, Epcot & MGM otherwise you won't get to see all the wonderful shows.

Hope you have a great trip and look foward to your TR.

Unless you want to ride a spinning wild mouse that feels like it's about to fall apart, a very crappy version of Indiana Jones, just with Dinosaurs, a crappy rapids ride, and an okay tour, don't go to Animal Kingdom. And beleive me Kali River Rapids sucsk. Go ride the best rapids ride in the world at IOA. And beleive me, the review on Dinosaur on thrillride.com (awesome site) is well written, but makes the ride sound good (that's not the case). It does however feature a review on Popeye, I suggest you read that.

Back on topic, don't go to AK until Everest. Heck, Everest may be a flop. We won't know until it's finished.
