Planning a trip to CP, GL, and Kennywood.

I'm planning a park excursion over the summer. I'm gonna go to Cedar Point, GL, and Kennywood. I've been to CP many times but it will be my first time to GL and Kennywood. Does anyone have any tips for GL and Kennywood? Also does anyone know of any good hotels to stay in the Geauga Lake area and also the kennywood area?

Well kennywood is my home park and if you want to find out about hotels near kennywood go to www.kennywood.com and there is a link on the side that says plan a visit. Click on that and it has a list of hotels. not much info up about them though. As for advise for kennywood. Make sure you ride all the coasters (don't miss the exterminator) make sure you ride the King Kahuna, Pitt Fall, and Aero 360. Those are all my favorite rides. Don't skip out on the Potato Patch Fries by the Thunderbolt. The line for the Potato Patch does tend to be very long though. Be ready to wait. But other than that, have fun. I work there so if you have any more questions. Just ask. Oh and when you ride the coasters, sit in the back seat. LOTS OF FUN THERE.

I can't wait. . About kennywood, what is the admission system there? I've heard several things about it. Can you clear it up for me? (It's all free for me since I work at dorney, but my family still has to pay)

i didn't know dorney park gets in free. i actually have no idea what parks get in free. N-E-Ways they changed the ticket system. No more General Admission, and no more individual ride tickets. It's all one price to get in. There is more info on the website about it. I don't know much because this is the first time it's been like this. But you'll have fun at kennywood. It's not the biggest park in the world but it is still fun. just check out the website and you'll probably find all your answers. you should come once in the summer and once during Phantom Fright Nights. It's really fun during PFN. I worked in the cemetery last halloween i'll probably do it again this year.

Oh and i want to warn you about the Exterminator. If you are waiting in line outside, you have a longer wait inside too because there are two sections of Q-lines. When you go in the tunnel, thats where the second section starts. so i would advise you to go to that ride early so you won't be waiting like an hour.

Thanx for the info. I'm so excited. I can't wait to go.

The employees at dorney get into all the area parks (hershey, gadv, all day wristband at knoebels), plus kennywood, and all the cf parks for free.

Well...GL is like 15 mins from me, so I know alot. 1..the admission price is $25. Remember to ride all 9 coasters...including Big Dipper a couple times beccasue its like airtime central. You will also see a lot of construction becasue of the waterpark transfer...
