| The King Is Back Again - 7/13/05
after a pretty terrible trip to gadv my first time this season and my firts time in two years, i went back today with a friend of mine.
for a wednesday with some morning rain, i was looking to get some walk-ons today. i was somewhat wrong. we left after work (2:45, we both work at a day camp) and got there at 3:45. he went straight to the season pass processing to get my friends pass. if you remember from my last TR, i got my pass processed after waiting almost an hour and a half because of one old man taking pictures. well today, we walked in the building, there were about 7 employees waiting behind the cameras and no one in line. so when there is a line, they put one old man in and when there isnt a line, they put 7 guys in...i dont get six flags.
we walked through the golden kingdom on the way to medusa. i havent ridden medusa in over two years and we waited about 20 minutes for a middle row. the speed seems faster than i last remember and it was a very nice ride. we then took the skyway over to the other side of the park and walked on to the 3rd to last row of skull mountain. nice first drop like i remembered from two years ago. we then headed right for nitro and waited about 25 minutes for my favorite rollercoaster which never gives a ride short of pure awesome. then straight to batman the ride for another 25 minute wait. yuch, i really dislike batman. it gets me dizzy and sick. we then went to superman and waited about 30 minutes for a back row ride which is pretty awesome. it was then 7:30 so we left, went to wawa for dinner, and went home.
overall, it was much better than my last trip but i was expecting much less crowds. i was still staring at kingda ka all day hoping to see it testing, but nothing...
