| My trip to Cedar Point On Friday August 19 ,I will be going to Cedar Point. Since I am going to be staying at Breakers Express it allows me to get a discount on admission and an entrance to the park a half hour early. I was wondering what rollercoaster’s you guys/girls think I should go to first and does that half hour make a difference? Also since this is a Friday will the crowds be less dense? |

Getting in a half hour early makes it pretty easy to get on rides like Dragster, Millennum, Raptor, Magnum and Mantis. These are the rides with pretty long usuall waiting times. I suggest MF and TTD. After riding one of those you will be within easy access of the Corkscrew, CP's only sitdown looper. The second hill has plenty of air and is followed by a nice sized verticle loop, two curves and a double corkscrew. Next you should hit Gemini, the steel tracked racing roller coaster at Cedar Point. This thing is fast at 60 MPH and tons of air with all of the dips and hills. The headchoppers look pretty real, too. There is a large helix at the end that provides lots of +gs. Moving onward to Mean Streak, one of Cedar Point's woodies. Out of the two(MS and Blue Streak) I came to find Blue Streak better eventhough MS is twice as large. You should then visit CP's hypercoaster, Magnum XL 200-A.K.A the crown jewel. The ride starts with an agonizing climb up a 205 ft lift which is followed by a 196 ft plunge at 74 MPH. Im not going to tell you the rest as you will find it a surprise. Also try some of the game areas there. They have some pretty groovy prizes if you pull through in skiball! Have a fun and safe trip!

I love to start at the stamp booths for MF and TTD if possible but, I never get there real early. Then to the Magnum, Witches Wheel, Gemini, Mine Ride, the swings, then lunch or as I call it Lunner back at the van or we leave for a few hours. Then we come back at the times we have stamps for and then to WT, Max air, Raptor, Blue Streak, Sky ride, calypso, corkscrew Iron dragon, wildcat, before they close them for the laser show. Then Mantis and possibly another time on the MF and/or TTD if time allows. We were there for 9 days recently. I was very sad that WT was down after the first day and stayed down. I love that ride. 80's Hair

I'm not going to post once again what I've already posted because it takes to long to type out. Just look up the recent CP thread in travel tips. You'll find my strategy there. Also check out Point Xtreme's strategies, one of which I wrote (the long one).

If your goin on a Friday I think that the crowds would be much worse than a weekday. Friday is the start of a weekend so it should busy. Don't you think?
